“‘Wake Up’ is about the things I dream about when I go to sleep – my future as a recording artist. ‘Wake Up’ wasn’t made for lyricism, although it doesn’t completely lack thought,” explains Jay. “I literally woke up, heard the beat, got on Pro Tools in my room, and said what I was feeling.
