HipHopDX Premiere: Brooklyn rapper Siya is returning to her rap roots with the new project, 383 – For Roosevelt and in anticipation of the release, she’s teamed up with Houston’s Kirko Bangz for the track “Houston Girls.” Produced by Foreign Teck of The Mekanics, “Houston Girls” easily illustrates Siya’s panache for gritty, no frills lyricism, which has led her to some critical acclaim in the last year.

Throughout the song, Siya and Kirko take a trip through H-Town as they rap about the girls they’re into. The chorus also showcases Siya’s songwriting prowess, which has landed her a deal under Tank’s R&B Money imprint. “Houston Girls” is a brief change of pace from the remainder of 383 – For Roosevelt and an ideal outro for the album. 383 – For Roosevelt is expected to arrive at the end of this month.
