HipHopDX Premiere: When New York artist Stolar wrote “Paralyzed,” he wanted it to feel like a three-minute movie. Crafted by producers Take A Daytrip, the track addresses the very basic human emotion—fear.

“Working with producers Take A Daytrip on this track, we found a real badass swag and cinematic space to the music that directly connects to the meaning of the song,” Stolar tells HipHopDX. “At its core, the story ‘Paralyzed’ tells is that pushing through the fear of not knowing the answer can lead to your most real and raw truth.”

While the DJ/producer duo Take A Daytrip’s roots are based in Hip Hop and New York nightlife, their music pulls from a wide range of influences reflected in their eclectic group of collaborators. They’ve worked with artists like Big Baby D.R.A.M. and 6LACK, and continue to push their blend of electronic, R&B and Hip Hop. Check out their latest creation above.
