ODIE is a 19-year-old alternative Hip Hop musician originally from Toronto, but currently living in the Bay Area. He started experimenting with music a few years back and now brings us the results. Last year he released a few tracks, “My Own” and “Señorita,” which gained a lot of traction on Soundcloud. Since then, he has taken the time to explore his artistry further, cultivating his sound and identity every day, which he feels fills a unique void in today’s music.
ODIE states, “Just to give you an idea, I’m of Nigerian descent and grew up in a semi-traditional African-Christian household. So my cultural roots play huge role in my music. I also grew up on a lot of alternative rock, indie music and of course, Hip Hop.”
Stemming off the success of his last single “Penny,” which gained the attention of tastemaker Yes Julz, ODIE unleashes a new record titled “Dreams,” which he deems is his “most polished public track to date.” Are you guys feeling these vibes?
