HipHopDX Premiere: As Rafael Vigilantics prepares to head out on tour with Hail Mary Mallon‘s Rob Sonic and Grayskul’s Onry Ozzborn, the Los Angeles-based artist has unveiled his latest single, “BadMan.” Featuring ample vocal contributions from Rhymesayers signee and Doomtree MC P.O.S., and a hook courtesy of singer Alisa Fedele, the dark overtones of the song pair perfectly with the gritty lyrics.
“I was born with a broken nose, two black eyes, and a bloodier lip,” P.O.S. vehemently spits, before the song winds down to a near whisper.
With stellar production work from SmokeM2D6 of Northwest Hip Hop collective, Oldominion, “BadMan” delivers in all the right ways.

“The song is about learning to embrace some of the weaknesses we are born with and some of our so called ‘bad qualities and habits’ as we get older,” Vigilantics tells DX. “You can be considered by the world at large a bad man, but be known as a person of substance. Sometimes it’s good to be dangerous.”
