Young Thug may have a lot on his plate with the ongoing YSL RICO case, but high on his list of priorities is hearing T.I. and Boosie Badazz’s joint album.

On Thursday (June 29), Thugga took to his Instagram Stories to urge the Southern rap legends to go ahead and drop the collaborative project they’ve been teasing for some time.

“@mamaheliveagain2.0 and @tip ya’ll go ahead and drop that album together,” he wrote. “That’s all a n-gga wants.”

Boosie has yet to respond, although Tip did repost Thug’s post on his own Instagram Stories and added a series of emojis indicating he’s on board with the idea.

T.I. and Boosie Badazz have had quite the journey throughout the last few months toward putting out their joint album for the world to hear.

During an interview with VladTV in February, Boosie declared he was no longer doing the project over allegations that the Grand Hustle general had snitched on a dead relative back in the day.

“With the T.I. situation, if he did that — you a fucking rat too,” Boosie said. “I don’t spare no muthafuckin’ body. Because if you doing anything wrong, you doing anything criminal and you cooperate with law enforcement to get you out of trouble – that means you’re cooperating. That means you’re a rat.”

He added: “No [that album is not coming out] because it ruined everything. I woke up with my muthafuckin’ phone, everything full. My real fans like, ‘Boosie you the last one left.’ They like, ‘You cannot put this album out.’ My uncle, OG n-gga call me … ‘N-gga that album ain’t coming out.’”

Boosie and T.I. continued to engage in a back and forth before the two artists made amends in April, with Boosie then announcing the album is back underway along with a reality show.

“The reality show we in works right now, so we’re probably gonna follow up with a joint project,” he said in a separate interview with VladTV. “We ain’t talked about dropping an album yet but I wanna drop it. That’s why I was kinda pissed about the situation because this was big for me to drop an album with Tip. This was some big shit for me bruh, so we gonna get to it.”

The “Wipe Me Down” artist previously said during a conversation with Fat Joe on Instagram Live in November 2022 that his album with the self-proclaimed “King of the South” will be harder than Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss.

“I heard Drake and 21 album, it’s hard, but I don’t think it’s harder than our album,” Boosie said as Joey Crack raised his arms in the air in excitement. “Man, it’s Rubberband Man and Badazz. This shit different, wait till you hear it, bro.”
