Young Thug’s fate remains on the line as the YSL RICO trial is ongoing, but he doesn’t seem too concerned — at least that’s what his most recent outfit suggests.

On Monday (January 8), the Atlanta native showed up to court wearing a shirt and tie, except one particular detail stood out about his getup. On one side of the plain, white collared top were the words “Sex Records.” In smaller font beneath that was the phrase “Truly Humble Under God,” which the defendant’s team has argued is what “Thug” stands for.

Law & Crime Network executive producer Cathy Russo reported: “Not sure what the jury thought about #YoungThug’s SEX records shirt…

“From the jury perspective, I don’t think they would have been able to read [the “Truly Humble Under God”] part but certainly they saw the bright, neon yellow SEX.”

“Ya he definitely failed the wardrobe review today,” one social media user responded to the above tweet, while another added: “I’m surprised the judge let him sit there wearing that.”

One person even pointed out the potential repercussions for such antics, writing: “I hope everyone realizes that the jury will delivery the final say and all of these tactics may hurt the defense in the long run.”

Last week, just one day ahead of his scheduled return to the courtroom for the continuation of the trial, Thugger plugged the brand ‘Act Normal.’

“If you support me then… you know the rest,” he wrote, with a link to the brand’s website.

The YSL RICO trial has been plagued by drama.

In December, the trial was delayed after one of the 32-year-old’s co-defendants was stabbed while in jail. Soon after, court reporter Meghann Cuniff confirmed that the trial had been put on hold until the defendant, Shannon Stillwell, recovered from the attack.

“Young Thug’s RICO trial is on hold until Jan. 2,” she wrote on social media. “This after his co-defendant Shannon Stillwell was stabbed in jail. Judge Glanville told the jury yesterday there was a medical issue. Today he told them, ‘Unfortunately that medical issue still exists.’”

She added: “The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office says Stillwell was stabbed by inmate Willie Brown, who’s been in jail without bond for almost 3 1/2 years.”

Stillwell, who was arrested alongside Young Thug and 27 others in May 2022, was previously stabbed in July 2022, according to jail officials.

He faces several charges, including murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, as well as conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
