During the lengthy interview, Lil Durk was asked about what he and Thug were looking at in the viral photo of them sat opposite a computer in the studio.

“What the fuck was y’all looking at?” Akademiks asked, to which Durk responded: “He told me not to tell nobody.”

Ak replied: “That’s the same thing he said. Y’all must have been watching some porn.”

Smurk then explained that both he and Thug keeping the answer a secret is proof of their loyalty to each other.

“That’s how you know we won’t snitch on each other,” he said.

Lil Durk previously addressed the meme in 2020 in response to a fan on Twitter, claiming Thug “showed him $20 million.”

Young Thug and Lil Durk have a longtime working relationship. Speaking to HipHopDX in 2016 off the back of his two appearances on Thug’s I’m Up project, Durk revealed they had recorded multiple songs together and spoke highly about their chemistry.

“We knocked like six songs out in one night and we just picked two to put on the tape,” he said at the time. “Studio vibes. It don’t matter what you off. If you got good studio vibes, you’re straight.”
