X-Clan member Paradise Gray calls out Jerry Heller for being the reason behind N.W.A’s downfall on the Murder Master Music Show.
During the interview, the discussion shifted towards N.W.A initially being what Gray describes as a “conscious” rap group akin to X-Clan. He then places blame on Heller for the messages behind N.W.A.’s music being turned into what has now been labeled as “gangster rap.”
“It was only Jerry Heller and bastards like him that perverted the message” Gray says in the exclusive interview with Prezident Bejda and Mac Jay.
“Him linking up with Eazy-E is what became the downfall of N.W.A. Period,” he continues. “It started with that backstabbing shit, that shady shit and stealing the money. That shady business of keeping Ice Cube away.”
Heller is currently battling such accusations by suing the producers of the N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton, for $110 million for his portrayal in the film.

Everything is always the white guy’s fault for ‘corrupting and poisoning black people with the devil’s wickedness’. I’m sure NWA was just about to drop that “Peace and Love” album before Jerry got involved. Black people….stop blaming other people for OUR problems. We have to OWN our problems. People care about themselves more than helping the next man – that’s human nature and the American dream. But these rappers are being told what to say whether it’s MOLLY, RED BOTTOMS, UBER, NETFLIX you hear all rappers use those concepts. It ain’ta coincidence. For young poor teenagers wanting to get on they will do anything. Hence why the genre doesn’t fuck with older artists cause they the business and can no longer be exploited

Eazy E dad was in his life, they got what new artist deserve they werent getting played they just didnt have any leverage to negotiate.
Cube wanted what Eazy was getting, Eazy was putting up the money he had to get his back first and triple it. People keep saying Eazy was getting paid more like it suppose to be a secret it was his company he was suppose to be making 5x more than what everybody else was making, the issue is Eazy was the Boss in still in the group which made it difficult for everybody else to swallow. Eazy had plans for Cube to break off and be a solo artist Cube just didnt want to wait. Also it was more difficult for Eazy to seperate himself from Jerry They were contractually bind, Jerry own like 5-10 percent of Ruthless.

the Artist, Of course Bone didnt make 100 million for themselves they were new artist they didnt have leverage to get a great contract out the gate. Eazy E would have easily made 100 million off Bone from 95 to 97 during that period Bone was selling more records than any other rapper prob besides pac. So between record sales, shows, merc Yea 100 mill would have been easy. Plus Eazy just signed a 50 million dollar distrubution deal with Realativity couple months before he died. Bone didnt make 100 million but that set themselves up better than other rap groups. They still doing sold out shows across the world

I agree Heller always gets the blame, but him and Eazy were the main reason NWA went mainstream. Cube and dre never get any of the blame at all. I think Cube would have left regardless of what kind of money he was getting, Cube always wanted to be a solo artist and he use that excuse of not getting paid to try to maniupulate fans to turn that backs against Jerry and Eazy it was smart on cube part but it was always toxic, Cube knew he wasnt about to get overpaid first time around he didnt have leverage.
