Victoria Beckham’s Shelved Hip Hop Album Featuring Ol’ Dirty Bastard & M.O.P. Leaks Online

And in today’s news, a string of songs from Victoria Beckham’s shelved Hip Hop album have leaked online.

According to MIRROR.CO.UK, the project was recorded in 2003 when the former Spice Girls member became close friends with Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder, Damon Dash.

The publication reports that last month, a demo disc featuring tracks that would have appeared on the album (titled Come Together) was auctioned on eBay and since then, various cuts from the cancelled project have surfaced online.

The album features collaborations with Ol’ Dirty Bastard on “That Dude” and Brownsville duo M.O.P. on “DAT Simple.”

Reportedly, Dash previously spoke to The Evening Standard about the album.

“Because Victoria’s record company aren’t happy about the fact that she came over to New York to work with me they are putting out stories,” Dash said. “Before anyone’s even heard the album they were making things up.

“I heard a story that Victoria was calling herself the female Eminem,” he added. “That’s just dumb. She never said that. I’m going to open Roc-a-Fella Records in London. I’ll show these Telstar cats how it’s done.”

Following her time with the Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham went on to release her self-titled debut album in 2001. In 2004, she left the music business to focus her efforts on fashion.

Come Together was one of two albums Victoria Beckham had cancelled during her time as a solo artist. Both projects (the other titled Open Your Eyes) were scrapped due to the disappointing sales of her debut album.

    1. makes me think of all the great music still just sitting around that was supposed to come out..theres gotta be plenty records that wouldve been classic by this point…anyone know any others that were supposed to happen

      1. I know that Daz has hours++ of Pac rhyming over his beats locked away from greedy suge. Also Fat Joe and Biggie made several songs but when he did not sign to bad boy greedy ass puff tossed them.

      2. Oh and ODB was well known for crashing others studio sessions runnin up in the booth and freestyling for mad long ..but since they were all mad at the guy they trashed them

    2. Makes me think of all the unreleased joint scarface is still sitting on from those “the fix” sessions…

      1. Yeah man, just thinking about all that unreleased scarface material give me goosebumps. And think about the producers in their prime the Roc/Def-jam had in those days, Bink!, Roc Wilder, Tony Pizarro, Just Blaze, Kanye and NoID. There has to be some classic material that never made the final cut.

      2. That shit aint fair! Just to know that he is sitting on some unreleased gems from that album. And specifically, many with the young soulful kanye west. Hope somebody can leak all that music someday
