This week on the Billboard Top 200, Trey Songz hits #1 with Trigga. Meanwhile, Robin Thicke also has a debut on the charts with Paula, an effort that landed within the week’s Top 10. Iggy Azalea also made this list with The New Classic remaining in the Top 20.

Trey Songz Pulls Of #1 Album With Trigga

Trey Songz earned the #1 spot on the chart this week. The singer sold 104,785 units of Trigga this week, the album’s first week of availability. Trey Songz was recently in the headlines when 50 Cent publicized the fact that he purchased a Best Buy’s supply of Trigga. 50 Cent and Trey Songz have collaborated. The two worked together on “Smoke.” Trigga earned a 4 out of 5 X rating in its HipHopDX review

Robin Thicke’s Paula Arrives At #9

Robin Thicke’s Paula debuted at the #9 spot this week. The singer’s effort sold 23,765 units in its first week of availability. The album is said to be a dedication to Paula Patton, his estranged wife. Recently, Thicke’s father, actor Alan Thicke, spoke about the relationship when asked if they are separated for good. “We honestly don’t know,” Alan Thicke said to E! “I’m sure they don’t really know either. Robin’s put it all out there. He’s put it hard on the table and poured it into his music.”

Iggy Azalea Remains In Top 20

Iggy Azalea’s The New Classic continues to succeed in the Top 20. Iggy sold 14,029 units of her debut album this week, which keeps her on par with last week’s 14,087 copies sold. As a result, Iggy Azalea keeps the #19 slot she occupied last week on the chart. The emcee’s The New Classic has sold 220,283 units overall. Recently, Azalea has been in the headlines due to a perceived feud with Nicki Minaj. Both rappers have recently denied that a feud exists. “The media puts words in my mouth all the time,” Minaj recently said of a beef with Iggy. “This is no different.”

    2. Trey Songz did pretty good. Robin Thicke flopped. 50’s gone, and is that R&B singer Joe at 22,000? R&B is dead.

    3. Damn where that nigga curtis at? his shit aint even on the charts. Where them bitch ass nut lickers who said he would outsell Rozay. NIggas stayin real quiet at the moment. Proves my point Ross destroyed 50 career.

      1. you sound pathetic get ross’s fat dick out your mouth. all the songs were released it was basically a feeler album on the indie lable in which he sold a 100k and made more loot of that than fat boys last album after he paid out everyone

    4. “said to be a dedication to Paula Patton” – Said to be…. Really?

“Paula Patton, a woman Thicke was romantically involved with for years.” – Romantically involved… Really? They were married with a kid dawg.

    5. TRIGGA did 6 digits…congrats to TREY SONGZ..in 2014..that is a huge first week sales..as for AB SOUL..i like his albium way ette than OXYMORON by SB-Q……AB SOUL does NOT have a “crosover” style…he is has more of a indie/underground style..THESE DAYS” is one of my fave 2014 albums…in a yea fillled with lackluste releases and huge artist who flopped FIDDY…MARIAH…ASHANTI…etc….

    6. AUGUST ALSINA also has a TOP 10 best album 0f 2014…..i love how music sales don’t matter…it is the “quality” of the album…….can’t wait for the RETURN OF KENDRICK LAMAR..and…JAY ROCK should do better than SB-Q AND AB SOUL..nevertheless…#TDE still winning….GK,MC is on its way to being on the chart 100 weeks!….#THAT’s WASSUP!

    7. Why dont you assholes stay consistant with your weekly articles, this should be titled WEEKLY ALBUM SALES FOR 7/1 to 7/8. I’ve waiting for this article all day and yet its been here, fucking cocksucker Andres Tardio. aka REtardio. I hope you choke on a dildo fuck cunt.

      1. crazy how this only got 25 comments from them switching up the title. its actually good those weekly articles just have trolls arguing about who flopped and whos hot.

      2. the sad pathetic loser said he was waiting all day for an article about weekly album sales that has no affect on his life or ability to enjoy music.
