Travis Scott To Perform At Super Bowl LIII

Travis Scott’s monster 2018 will undoubtedly bleed over into the new year.

TMZ has learned that the Astroworld president has just signed on to perform with Maroon 5 during the Pepsi Halftime Show midway through Super Bowl LIII. The conversation to have Hip Hop — music’s biggest genre — represent pro sports’ biggest stage has been an interesting one between Colin Kaepernick’s protests and artists like Jermaine Dupri and Waka Flocka Flame pining for rap’s inclusion.

Cardi B and Outkast’s Big Boi are both reportedly still in talks to make appearances as well.

To say the 26-year-old Scott has had a marquee year would be a severe understatement. After releasing his third studio album Astroworld this past August to Billboard prowess and dope reviews and the biggest song of his career, he spearheaded a sold-out Astroworld Tour trek across the country, earned several GRAMMY nominations and welcomed his first child with girlfriend Kylie Jenner (who’s also living her best life at the bank).

Speaking of Jenner, Scott recently clarified their relationship status in his new cover story with Rolling Stone. While rumors have been floating around that the young celebs were indeed married (fueled by his use of the word “wife” on public forums), that turns out to be just a figure of speech — for now.

“We’ll get married soon,” Scott assured in the interview. “I just gotta sturdy up — I gotta propose in a fire way.”

That Super Bowl check will surely buy a nice engagement ring.

    1. Even less incentive to watch. After watching a half of subpar football where defensive linemen get penalized for breathing on a qb id have to listen to this retard stumble through a performance. I’ll pass.

      1. Nothing like the studio gangster worth $150,000,000 preaching about how everything’s corrupted LMAO. He IS the industry.

    2. The NFL DOES NOT pay artists to perform at the Super Bowl!

LOL, I knew a wack black rapper would end up taking the gig, smdh…..The NFL can basically treat black athletes like second class citizens and do everything in their power to silence them because they know at the end of the day black people have no real unity among each other and never follow through on anything.

      1. How the hell is the NFL treating their players like second class cicitznes? By paying then MILLIONS to play a sport? Does your boss treat you better? When you work for someone, you don’t generally have the green light to freely speak your mind, talk about your own causes, etc…. Seriously.. Acting like these rich guys have it bad lol? Wow…. They are sooooo oppressed. Yet they make more in a year than the average American will in 15 years.
