Travis Scott has been mercilessly mocked online after an alleged essay he wrote in college about Kanye West, Kid Cudi and Big Sean surfaced online.

Scott, who attended the University of Texas at San Antonio for a year before quitting to pursue music full time, allegedly wrote a paper in 2009 praising Kanye and his G.O.O.D Music label, which he would later sign to as a producer.

In the essay, Scott begins by saying: “Good Music is known all around the world. Rappers such as Big Sean and Kid Cudi are well-known rappers that had similar lifestyles but different messages. What they had in common carried them an opportunity to get sign to an multi-million dollar company called G.O.O.D MUSIC.

“Both of these rappers had enough courage to step up to the famous Kanye West and rap there heart which led them to instant success. Even though these two moguls are sign to the same label and are part of the same music family there styles and there background are different but they were brought together by a beautiful sound we call music.”

Much of the rest of the essay is taken up by basic background information on the lives of Cudi and Sean before it ends by taking inspiration from the two rappers.

“Success is not something that is given out you must go out and take what you want,” he concludes.

The essay has not yet been verified by either Scott nor the university.

Despite being the target of trolls, Scott signed with G.O.O.D Music in 2012 as a producer and has maintained a close musical relationship with Kanye West ever since as they have collaborated on tracks such as “Piss on Your Grave”, “Wash Us in the Blood” and “Praise God.”
