This week, Method Man commended Macklemore for his lyrical abilities, but also called out the rapper for crowd walking during a MTV performance. Atlanta rapper Rittz dropped his much-anticipated The Life And Times Of Jonny Valiant album and consequently earned a solid four-star rating with the projects release. Lastly, Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly of the iconic 90’s duo Kris Kross passed away on Wednesday, May 1 at the age of 34.
Method Man Not Pleased With Macklemore’s Attempts At Crowd Walking
Method Man may be a fan of Seattle rapper Macklemore, but one particular concert routine from the emcee has Meth less than pleased. During a recent show with Redman, a riled up Method Man encouraged Denver, Colorado fans to quite literally “drop” the “Thrift Shop” rapper if he ever attempted to crowd walk during a performance in their city.
“Don’t get me wrong. When Macklemore come to ya’ll city, ya’ll show him all the love that ya’ll show Red and Meth, but if that mothafucka tries to do my walk on the crowd thing, I want Denver, Colorado to drop his ass like a bad habit,” Meth revealed.
Rittz Makes Is A Stranger On The Life And Times Of Jonny Valiant
Nearly a year after he signed to the Tech N9ne-led Strange Music, Atlanta emcee Rittz has finally released his debut on the label. Titled The Life And Times Of Jonny Valiant, the project boasts appearances from Big K.R.I.T., Mike Posner, and fellow Slumerican Yelawolf.
“While Rittz hasn’t yet reached his recording pinnacle, The Life And Times Of Jonny Valiant provides a thorough impression of his abilities as well as what he can strive for in the coming years,” HipHopDX’s review revealed.
Rittz of course sticks with his signature, rapid-fire flow throughout the album and really lets loose on the Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko-assisted “Say No More.”
“Of course, discussing Rittz wouldn’t be complete without mentioning his rapid-fire delivery. Likely a selling point in his deal with Strange, the Southern chopper holds his own alongside Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko on ‘Say No More” for a fiery track that will burn out the replay button,” read DX’s review of the album.
Kriss Kross’ Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly Dead At The Age Of 34
The Hip Hop community faced yet another loss this week when it was announced that Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly of Kris Kross passed away in his Atlanta home. Since the announcement of the rapper’s death, new details have emerged and it appears that drugs likely played a role in his passing. Following news of Kelly’s death, his mother, Donna Kelly Pratte, released this statement:
“It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Chris Kelly has passed away on May 1. To millions of fans worldwide, he was the trendsetting, backwards pants-wearing one-half of Kris Kross who loved making music. But to us, he was just Chris – the kind, generous and fun-loving life of the party. Though he was only with us a short time, we feel blessed to have been able to share some incredible moments with him. His legacy will live on through his music, and we will forever love him.”

Method Man is a silly bastard, i wish he’d come to my city.
But y’all not gonna say anything about Macklemore saying him and Meth talked and shit’s all good? I guess squashing shit isn’t as good as starting shit for hip-hop sites
you clearly didnt understand the article. it said that he wants the fans to show him just as much love, just not to let him steal his crowd walking move
No, I did understand the article as I in fact attended school and know how to read. But Macklemore tweeted “Meth and I connected. Everything is all good. The “beef” as the media called it, has officially been squashed” but they didn’t say shit about that, lol.
Well this site didn’t paint the picture as “beef” and it sounded friendlier than some beef shit, and yeah I think Method Man was the first to start it. Not the beef, I wouldn’t want your educated mind getting shit twisted, the crowd walk.

Only Ja Rule can call out Macklemore and ask fans to drop him. But since Ja Rule is a real nigga, it is not necessary.
“and yeah I think Method Man was the first to start it”
Whether he did or not how can you expect a grown man to stop doing something just because another man may have done it first? That’s playground foolishness.
Iggy Pop started it boy!
