The former So So Def act reunited to perform at the label’s 20th anniversary all-star concert in Atlanta.

Kelly revealed in a January 2013 interview with Yahoo! that he had gone to school to be a music engineer. “I just wanted to do something different,” he explained. “Get more on the technical side of things than just being an artist, and produce. I just wanted to be [the] all around best I could be as far as doing everything.”

Kelly was 34 years old.

HipHopDX would like to offer its condolences to the friends and family of Chris Kelly at this time, and will update you as this story develops.
