Atlanta rapper T.I. has made it clear that he’s not a fan of Funkmaster Flex airing out Tupac long after his death.
In an Instagram post uploaded Wednesday (May 3), T.I. informed Flex that he’s in clear violation of “G-Code.” The Southern wordsmith shared screen captures of tweets made about Tupac by Flex, and let it be known that you never “speak down on a dead man.”
“Yo @funkflex Respectfully Bruh… on G-Code…. regardless of what YOU THINK the validity of your statement is,I was taught never to speak down on a dead man. Considering they ain’t here to speak up for themselves. When he was alive,you was on da air then…. that was the time to address this. NOT HERE,NOT NOW,NOT LIKE THIS!!! And I’d say the same to a nigga from LA speaking on BIG,” T.I. wrote.
Funkmaster Flex claimed this week on Instagram Live that Tupac accidentally shot himself during the notorious shooting at Quad Studios in 1994. He also took a low blow at the rapper, referring to him as 8 Mile‘s “Cheddar Bob,” before sharing his version of what happened at Quad Studios.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to distance himself from the situation, Lil Cease clarified that comments he wrote during Flex’s Instagram Live broadcast weren’t meant to be disrespectful.
“I Said Nothing Bad Or Negative About Tupac..I Would Never Say Anything Foul About Him Now Or Never!! I Don’t Know How That Got Twisted Up.. That’s Was Not Me Making The Cheddar Bob Statement Smh,” an Instagram post from Cease read.
In a comment made during Flex’s live stream, Cease wrote: “He resisted!! From what I know… and I heard he reached for this joint and pop his self 1st by mistake.”
