Rihanna and the National Football League has confirmed the Barbadian singer will be performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year.
On Sunday (September 25), Rihanna shared an Instagram post with just her tattooed arm in the air holding a football with the NFL shield prominently displayed. The NFL followed up with a tweet featuring the same photo.
TMZ initially reported Rihanna and Roc Nation were “in talks” with the National Football League, but RiRi’s Instagram post was a good sign they came to an agreement.
Roc Nation boss JAY-Z has been working with the NFL as its live music entertainment strategist over the past three years, so it only makes sense Rihanna — also a Roc Nation artist — would agree to the performance, even though she turned it down in 2020 in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick.
Rihanna will have big shoes to fill following this year’s all-star show, which boasted appearances from Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige.
Earlier this month, the performance won two Creative Arts Emmys in the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) and Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special categories.

The highly anticipated Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show took place on February 13 as the Los Angeles Rams took on the Cincinnati Bengals, but the game also included the Hip Hop-themed blowout.
Low riders, a Doggystyle poster, Crip-walking and over 400 professional dancers and volunteer cast participants sprinkled the stage as each artist delivered their explosive sets.

After the last show there was literally no where to go but down unless 50 and Em could’ve done an entire halftime. Would’ve rather put the TV on mute and watched Taylor Swift and her legs but Rihanna is cool I guess
