Rick Ross released the official standard and deluxe cover art for Black Market today (November 2) through Billboard. The art is similar to that of Ross’s Black Dollar mixtape, which shows various words transcribed on the cover

“It just felt holographic, like a hologram,” the MMG boss says of covers. “Just a lot of different things. First and foremost, it was different than any other artwork, so I was bringing another energy in art to the table. But at the same time, there’s just so many different things to say and to discuss. And as you look into the art and the words that are in there, it’s a lot of powerful topics.”

Rick Ross announced a new album entitled Black Market on The Breakfast Club today (October 6).  The Maybach Music Group boss released the Black Dollar mixtape in August and explained the continuation from the tape.

“What we do is just build on what we got and take it to the next level,” he says. “I think that’s what this project is all about. Touching the streets with Black Dollar and introducing them to the new album, which is titled Black Market.”

He confirmed Black Market is the last album on his Def Jam contract and says it will be released in December.

This summer, Ross was arrested two times in two weeks. He was released from jail in July on a $2 million bail. The rapper said on the show that he is still on house arrest.

“Under the circumstances, I just make the best of it, working the most,” he says. “We got recording studios. We got the film team.”

      1. Lol its actually deep why these niggas like that…. Anyway this nigga Ross need to sell MMG and disappear somewhere.. Pretty much over

    4. He’s tryin to get out of his contracts so he can make some money off his album sell. As of right now he’s not make nothing from the sells of his album and that touring thing is hard work. When it’s all said and done he’s going to be working at wing stop as a employee. Ross is his own worst enemy.

    5. drake is iricher, more famous, has more hits and drake fuckecd officer rickys 22yo thot fiance first, hell even meek hit it before fatboy. LOL drizzy ended that fools career. good thing no one from mmg had his back

    6. Don get no worse then fake boss or his empty pockets he done jacked shyne flow,,freeways life!!!! And one of the most expensive super luxury cars names smh….now let’s check other facts!!!!! Bitch-mill ain’t sell shit so did whale oh and so did stalley even yo fat ass cudnt save mmg sinking ship on a trailer!!!! Fuck da 5.0 and da C.O

    7. WHO Cares?@!# WORST cover ever! The ‘Fake Rick Ross’ OFFICER RICKY needs to go back to work at the FEDS & mistreat inmates as a C.O.! NOBODY gives a F*CK about his fake azz, meek rappers, & those Maycock fairies! GAME OVER Fat Fraud!

    8. “What we do is just build on what we got and take it to the next level,”
Nikka, your level being going down since your first album! Fk out of here with that ish!

    9. Rozay changed my life! It’s good to pretend! Life is all about pretending. Never tell the truth. Just lie, lie and lie. You don’t need to tell the truth. Rozay we fakin’ this shit. Lying is the truth. Rozay is master of the lies, that’s why I respect him. MMG untouchable empire and all that shit. Fuck truth its all about lies. Whole world and religions was build at lies. The better you lying the better you live. Fuck hard work it never gets you nowhere.

      1. you stupid duke.. but like they say real recognize real just a much as you fake cats like fake niggas…Ross isn’t certified so stop it clowns

      1. Ross got a cool voice. His lack of skills would get exposed on a Premier track. Think about how average the mmg crew sounded at the bet cipher years ago. He would have to do much more than just flow on a basic Premier track.

    10. This fool really said that Ross has the credibility in hiphop that Nas does not have. Wow.

    11. another garbage album about coke and caviar…LOL..how about makin some music to uplift people…7 singers on ya album…LOL..this sorry rapper ran out of ideas..

    12. The fakest artist ever in the rap game and a lot of your people buy into another man telling lies and stealing the identity of a true boss dealer The real Rick Ross. His music is avg at best . I can’t wait to 50 catch him slipping and meets him face to face 50 going to show him who the biggest boss is!

    13. I can’t even lie, ricky makes some dope albums, with the exception of Hood Billionaire. This album looks like it’s going to be dope based on the track list. I see these lost souls on dx talking about he a CO or he stole some one else’s life, at the end of the day, it’s entertainment, meaning it’s only for your listening pleasure, not to be interpreted as real life day to day way of life.

    14. ross is the most overrated rapper in rap history …all he does is rely on famous guest appearances to sell everytime..he hasn’t dropped a single by himself in like 9 years..So here we are again, same format, drug talk and lies and you stupid people keep feeding into it like dummies..i cant believe people still believe his stories..what a brainwashed society

    15. Gotta admit nas teaming up with ross is a VERY SMART move. Ross has the credibility in hiphop that nas simply doesn’t have.

      1. are you on crack. “ross has the cred in hiphop Nas doesn’t have” thats the stupid statement of the decade. why are you visiting this site if your not a fan of hiphop.
        #illmatic

      2. Tf? The fat fuk more like is using Nas to further promote cuz Nas Got Legend Status while this fat poser has fuck all.. kill urself

    16. Ross killing the game all you clowns sound dumb as hell dude worked at a jail when he was 19 that don’t mean shit dude really did what he talk that’s why he don’t speak on none of this talk you dummies speak on real l move in silence 50 bum ass been done

    17. Lame and Wack. Why is backstabber ross working with Chris Brown? He gives african americans a bad name. Even his own lyrics, which were dope from port of miami to hood billionaire, are suddenly god awful. His quality declined and rather than improve, he backstabbed his friends in order to support disloyal bitches like wayne.

      1. Newsflash: all of Rick Ross’ music from the start is garbage. He’s been at a plateau since POM. The lyrics on this album aren’t any different from the previous albums since it’s the same drug kingpin/luxury shit. Also, Chris Brown (who doesn’t give black people a bad name) been worked with Ross and your favorite artists from the jump. What friends did he backstab and how is Wayne disloyal?

      2. He didn’t feature brown in one of his albums until now. It was just guest appearances with other artists including brown. Plus this is his worst album yet. Often a negative attitude cause work to suffer and him backstabbing birdman and Drake to support birch Wayne fits that critera

      3. Also, Drake didn’t work with brown and hated him. As for nicki, brown crawled to her but she insisted on security to make sure he doesn’t loose his shit. Ross crawled to brown this time like a bitch just to get back at cash money.

      4. 1. Doesn’t change the fact that Ross worked with Brown. 2. Worst album yet? This sounds just like all of his albums, they’re all equal in shit. 3. What negative attitude? You’re the only one with a negative attitude, making up BS about your favorite rappers. 4. Ross didn’t backstab Birdman and Drake at all. 4. Drake did work with Chris Brown and he never hated him until their brawl. 5. Brown didn’t crawl to Nicki. What security? You’re just making up shit again.

    18. 1. Lupe Fiasco
      2. MF DOOM
      3. Ghostface Killah
      4. Common
      5. Mos Def
      6. 2Pac
      7. RZA
      8. GZA
      9. Nas
      10. Curren$y
      11. Kanye West
      12. Raekwon
      13. Rakim
      14. Guru
      15. Biggie
      16. Method Man
      17. Talib Kweli
      18. Killah Priest
      19. Pun
      20. Black Thought

this is my list….my opinion…dont get to emotional girls

    19. Mastermind was trash, same with Hood Billionaire. Black Dollar & Black Market are much better & basically double albums.

    20. RIP BIGGIE SMALLS…it is hard for RICK RO$$ to get his props b/c of READY TO DIE…but this should be ROZAY’s best album……
