Rick Ross Gets Twitter Standing Ovation For Thug Tear-Shedding TV Acting Performance

Rick Ross is one of the biggest bosses in the music game. He has five No. 1 albums, an array of hit records and one of the strongest labels in the industry. However, Ross is looking to expand his reach into a new industry, and he’s already getting positive feedback.

After making his acting debut on Starz’s Magic City back in 2013, the Maybach Music Group boss added to his résumé by appearing in the latest episode Queen Latifah’s hit show The Equalizer.

Rozay played an incarcerated rapper named Dilemma, who reflected on his wrongs and how his family suffers from his actions.

His performance was packed with so much emotion, the Miami mogul shed a tear at the end of his moving speech. Fans were more than impressed with his acting chops and let their voices be heard on Twitter.

“Rick Ross out here acting on the Equalizer. I see those tears. #TheEqualizer,” one fan tweeted, while another added, “Not Rick Ross acting in a dramatic role. He did the one tear rolling down the cheek and everything!! #Equalizer.”

Rick Ross saw all the love he was getting from fans regarding his performance and decided to jump on social media with a video thanking everyone and telling them to share the news of his latest acting role.

“So of course, last night, my acting debut, The Equalizer. Salute to the director, the whole team, Queen Latifah, the whole squad, you know what I’m saying,” he said. “I need y’all to TiVo it, rewind it, whatever it is y’all do, and make sure y’all check it out so you can hit me up and let me know what you think. Let the directors know big boy doing big things.”

Despite impressing viewers with his Equalizer performance, Rick Ross assured fans his focus is still on music, having recently wrapped up two more videos from his latest album Richer Than I Ever Been.

“My passion’s still the music,” he clarified. “My focus right now, Richer Than I Ever Been. We done filmed two videos — ‘Little Havana’ featuring The-Dream. We done filmed ‘Wiggle’ featuring DreamDoll and, of course, ‘Outlawz’ is out now.

“I need everybody to request that ‘Outlawz,’ stream that ‘Outlawz,’ download the album, make sure you supporting the ‘Outlawz.’ Post that shit on your IG [or] put it on your wall.”

Rick Ross was fully prepared for his role, as he explained to Elliott Wilson and B. Dot during his interview on the Rap Radar Podcast last month. According to Ross, he’s grateful for Queen Latifah allowing him to act on her show.

“She gave me a real opportunity, not just on some — some real lines I’m just tapping into this,” he said. “And just her response to how I’m moving, she gave me a lot of credit for it and I’m just thinking as I walk away, ‘Wow, who could’ve imagined this!’ I didn’t recite no lines or read the script until that morning. I’m on the set smoking a blunt.”

    1. Ross said the acting/TV shit wasn’t for him, but lo and behold— Ross, you wild. Much love with ya crazy ass

    2. “Rick Ross is one of the biggest bosses in the music game. He has five No. 1 albums, an array of hit records and one of the strongest labels in the industry”… LOL… not really. Why are people so surprised though, he been acting and playing a character his whole music career. Imagine how well he woulda performed if they cast him as a Correctional Officer.

      1. Right. Not sure where they get the strongest label part from…I hope they not talking about MMG…and far as albums, he drops when nobody else has anything out to chart his, so yeah he gets the number 1 lmao. I think he only has one certified platinum album.

        1. And that’s the only platinum album from anyone with MMG and that album came out pre MMG. How can you call it one of the strongest labels when they only got 3 artists who get to put out albums and all 3 flopped in 2021. They were never that strong, even in their prime with Self Made series.

      1. What’s not to hate? He is literally the biggest fraud in hiphop history!, stole a living man’s government name while he was locked up then said he never heard of him before eventually calling him a snitch. Like why would you tattoo another man’s name on your hands if he was a snitch? Don’t even get me started on all the cavity searches he performed on young black incarcerated drug dealers and gangsters.

    3. ROSS is the biggest BOSS. Keep doing big things and keep the haters hating. You have the entire SOUTH behind you. TRILLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
