Fall will be here before we know it. In the meantime, the Summer is trying to compete with its own fair share of hot albums. This week we get a few gems, including REKS’ REBELutionary. Next week though, it’s all in Rick Ross’ hands as God Forgives, I Don’t finally arrives. MMG decided to hand out some album snippets for the world to peep beforehand; maybe that will help the album from leaking (even though these days it feels inevitable). While August is sticking to its guns with strong releases, we have another one to add from Slim the Mobster. He’s dropping S.O.O.N. (Something Out Of Nothing) on August 21st. Everyone was hoping for the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer to arrive on August 7th. However, that’s been now pushed to September 4th.
As the leaves start turning, Odd Future decides to bring in some music. MellowHype, comprised of Hodgy Beats and Left Brain will deliver their album Numbers on October 2nd. The hardcore Punk group Trash Talk that signed to Odd Future Records in the Spring, will also drop an album 119 on October 9th. Then the leader of the pack comes. Tyler, the Creator is planning to drop Wolf sometime in November. Will it measure up to Goblin? We’ll just have to wait and see.
