Rap Release Dates: Maybach Music Group, The Roots & Elvis Costello, Action Bronson & Harry Fraud

Additional details have emerged regarding The Roots’ album collaboration with Elvis Costello. It was originally announced by Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson six months ago that they were working on a collaborative LP, and on September 17 Wise Up Ghost will be released. This is The Roots’ first project, as a group and collaborative, since their 2011 album with John Legend, Wake Up!.

Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group have formally announced the third volume in its Self Made album series. Self Made Vol. 3 will release on August 6 according to HotNewHipHop.com.

Action Bronson and Harry Fraud will release their Saab Stories album on June 11. The two also recently released the album artwork for the project, dropping it on Thursday.

Freddie Gibbs recently announced the exact date for his upcoming album. ESGN will be released on July 9 according to the Gary, Indiana native’s Twitter. Originally, July was all that was revealed regarding the project’s release date.

Goodie Mob said that their upcoming release Age Against the Machine will be coming out later than expected. Originally set for June 18, A spokesperson for Goodie Mob contacted HipHopDX and stated that the album will release in “late summer.”

Last week, Kanye West confirmed that his sixth studio album would entitled Yeezus. He also released the official cover art for his latest project as well.
