Producer S1 Confirms New Eminem Music On The Way

Rumors of an upcoming Eminem album have been swirling for months — and it turns out there’s a good reason for that.

According to producer S1, Slim Shady has indeed been cooking up lots of new material in the studio. During a recent interview with HHNM, the seasoned beatsmith talked about some of his upcoming collaborations, which includes the Detroit-bred rap god.

“I’ve been working with J. Cole quite a bit on his project,” he said. “Lecrae, I got a good four songs on Lecrae’s new album, which is really good, by the way. I don’t have a lot of information on it but I’ve been working with Eminem quite a bit. They’re always real quiet and real secretive but I just know he’s been cutting a lot of records so we’ll see what happens with that.”[apple_news_ad type=”any”]

Em managed to pull off a surprise release in 2018 with Kamikaze. The project served as the follow-up to his ill-received Revival album that arrived the year before. Kamikaze was the antidote to the commercialized pop rap found on Revival. For this one, Shady was firing on all cylinders and ignited the highly publicized beef with Machine Gun Kelly.

More recently, Em took a shot at Nick Cannon on Fat Joe’s “Lord Above” single featuring Mary J. Blige. The Power 106 radio personality returned with three diss tracks — “The Invitation” featuring Suge Knight, “Pray For Him” with The Black Squad and “Canceled: Invitation.”

Another entry in Em’s catalog will mark his 11th studio effort and add another colorful chapter to his storied career.

S1 has worked on numerous projects with Em, starting with 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 and culminating with Kamikaze.

      1. Hopefully it has some Migos, Future, Drake, Post Malone, and other pop stars! I’m so psyched for the Pop Rap God to return!

          1. Well, yeah, but let’s be honest… These underground hiphop artists will never ever be mainstream, unless they choose to sellout like Eminem did. Em was a sellout the day he’d change his lyrics completely in a song to make it clean, and not just have it censored.

      1. Royce is outspitting 99% of rappers. They’re not glued at the hip, you could say that on most posts involving rappers but people love wasting time to hate people lol

      2. Says who “YOU” what’s your background what’s your age. Only us people over 30 can judge hip hop. Younger you are the more you don’t hear.

      1. Wtf so the Eminem show or encore or even recovery wasn’t good to you. Listen to the shit today and actually listen to the lyrics. Idk why recovery is slept on like it is but that is one of my favorites from em

      2. The Eminem Show is a classic. Relapse is a horrorcore classic and Kamikaze and MMLP2 had their moments. So what the fuck ???

    1. Another terrible album by shade boy. He is a virus that just won’t go away. The media should write more about artists that really rep. detroit including apollo brown. Warm up the fire place, trailer trash boy has more garbage to burn up. He is a pop goat but never a hip hop one. Hip hop is about beats and rhymes. Pop music is about fake ass fights to promote a new album.

        1. My point is….. pop fans consider m a pop goat because he sells alot of records. The boy bands sell alot of records but are wack as hell. Record sales don’t mean anything if the product weak. If u like watered music then i guess he is a goat of pop music.

          1. What even is watered music? Just music you don’t like? You’re not even making sense a product can’t be weak if it’s selling more than anything else. Anybody that’s not underground is basically a pop artist. It’s short for popular… There’s a lot of people that don’t sound appealing to me that other people love. It’s all about what you like.

            1. Most pop fans don’t understand hip hop(not rap) music. Hip hop beats and rhymes are foreign to the pop audience. In order to relate with the pop fans, artists must change(watered down) the music so more pop fans can understand the music. M was hip hop until he changed his style away from hip hop to be more pop. Cypress hill had some pop songs too, but didn’t change the music to be pop. M=pop star. Cypress hill = hip hop star

          2. I’m more than positive you’re probably a fan of Drake and he is very much a pop star, nothing but club hits and radio play, no real content in his music just like anyone else that’s mainstream in hip hop right now. Yet Eminem comes out with Revival which is full of needed content and crazy bars, showcasing his lyrical skill but just because it has a different sound than some boom bap hardcore sounds it’s wack?? Pop?? I mean yea I deff wish he would get back to having hip hop features too but just because he has all these unasked for collabs doesn’t mean he’s not pulling it off and making great music still

      1. Boy you’re playing yourself. That verse on Lord Above is better than anything whoever you listen to has ever put out

        1. I won’t deny eminem writes great verses, but that doesn’t equate to great hiphop music. If writing dop verses was the only key to great music, then every hiphop battle rapper would literally be in top 10. But that’s not the case. In fact, most battle rappers, they can’t write amazing verses, but can’t make a great song or album EVER. GET IT? Good verse doesn’t = good music.

      2. Eminem sucks now, and has become POP star… With that said, his old school original hits solidify him as a Hiphop GOAT. But yes, he blows now, and I can’t stand his music anymore.

      3. That’s hilarious. There’s at least one hater. Em is still out selling everyone. When that changes then maybe this dope virus you speak of will go away. But never will happen to many people still love em. Old shit and new shit. If you think ems early stuff didn’t make him hip hop gold then you are just a hater doing what they do best. Who is actually putting out any dope shit right now besides the same people over and over again. If all these new people would put out something worth listening to then we all wouldn’t crave music from the old skool or the goats

        1. The bottom line is this…..He sold out hip hop for watered down pop music. Hip hop gave birth to shady. Marshal would never do album with just hip hop stars because he is mr. pop star. I have deep love hip hop music and anyone that betrays her is dead to me. Shady will never be a hip hop goat because he does pop music.

        2. It’s funny they are saying Em is pop. Name a track on Kamikaze that was getting radio play? Isn’t that the exact meaning of pop. Popular music. Haters

    2. Big Boy said Dr Dre played him some of Eminem’s new stuff a while back that was “fireeeeee” lol.. I hope it comes out soon but I hope Conway’s God Don’t Make Mistakes comes first, and Eminem is my favourite rapper but Conway deserves his time with a major solo album, Griselda have some great momentum behind them… Royce da 5’9″ ‘s The Allegory should be out within a month or so too (hopefully).

    3. Yes! I’ve been LOVING Eminem from 2010-2020! Those who say his music from 1998-2010 is better are crazy! Eminem raps sooooo super fast now! Fast = better. Right??? Nope.

      1. how retarded are you??? He doesn’t always rap fast lmao. You dumb fucks heard Rap God one time and think every song since then is him rapping super fast

        1. Uhhh… Kamikaze… He doesn’t rap fast on the majority of that album? Bullshit. Eminem uses new school flows. It sucks. Stan’s gonna Stan though!

    4. If I had such a low i.q. and lack of comprehension of bars, I would definitely call myself “unknown” or “anonymous” while spewing nonsensical rhetoric on topics that I don’t truly understand. So at least you were smart enough to do that.

    5. Please No! Who’s he gonna come at on this one? New kids on the block? Brittney spears? Hannah Montana?

        1. If he isn’t retarded he would be referring to the fact that em always uses outdated references.
I’m a fan but it is true.

    6. Kamikaze was a step up from Revival but it was still mediocre, honestly. Em needs to work with some different producers and stop with the corny hooks.

      1. oh please, what exactly was wrong with Kamikaze? The beats were fire on that album. If Kendrick or Kanye would have released Kamikaze, the album would have been considered a classic within a month.

        1. As a long time Em fan I will say that Kamikaze had its moments and was the best album he has released in a long time but he was clearly inspired when he made that. I expect this next one to be another dreary run of the mill release with replay value that will expire after a month. I wish he would stick to releasing just singles and the occasional short EP because he no longer has the inspiration to sustain a whole album anymore. He is one of the best to ever do it but the well is running dry and every average album he puts out just damages his legacy, just like Ice Cube, and before him LL Cool J.

    7. hahaha, to all the fruitcakes who hate EM so much, EM was the #1 selling male artist of the 2010s. That makes two decades of being the GOAT! Meanwhile, Ye is releasing sh!tty gospel music LMFAO.

    8. People just love to hate on the greats. I personally cannot wait for another Eminem album cause I wish he would make music forever. He’s the best rapper alive

      1. have you noticed the age of these kids hating on EM on social media? A majority of them were newborn babies when EM released the MMLP and The Eminem Show lmao. The only knowledge of rap they know is the garbage from all of these Lil Fruitcakes releasing the same gibberish over a Metro Boomin beat.

        1. The majority of Eminem haters today, are people who will agree Eminem made timeless classics from 1998-2003 or so. Most of us haters are just former fans who have become extremely disappointed, with the fact that eminem has become a living parody of himself. Eminem is exactly everything he once dissed. Doing songs with pop stars? He used to knock that, he’s exactly what he used to hate.

          1. Only if EM does songs w pop stars, then it’s wack, right? I’m pretty sure Kendrick, NaS and Jay Z have all been on songs w pop stars. I think you literally copied and pasted your comment from someone on hip hop twitter.

            1. No, I didn’t copy and paste my response lol. And yes, Jayz, Nas, and Kendrick have become pretty whack in comparison to when they were less mainstream.

          2. It’s called getting older. People change. If anything I would love to see an Eminem album that is more mature. He’s the GOAT.

    9. I want em to have a real rap album. Dont front style. A royce w premo type of album. Leave the corny weird bars and rihanna hooks at home for just ONE album pls

      1. Huh? EM released real rap/don’t front/in your face albums with the MMLP2 and his latest album Kamikaze. Regardless, it won’t matter what EM releases this year; y’all will find one thing wrong with one of the songs and then trash the entire album.

      2. You wil NEVER see Em on a Primo track. As a matter of fact when his best friend Royce was doing the Prhyme albums, Em mysteriously disappeared from the studios. The same story with Nas… when Primo asked Nas to be a feature on this latest Gangstarr album, he declined and gave the excuse of his bars not being hot enough to rhyme with Guru…

        Smh…FOH

    10. “I’m a G.O.A.T. and I don’t mean to gloat
But I know what I know and I know what you think
And these magazines’ll never put it in ink
Because how would it look if they considered me as a G.O.A.T.?
And for those of y’all who don’t know what a G.O.A.T. is
It means the Greatest Of All Time
And I consider myself one of those
So thank you very much, here it goes”

      From Eminem’s unreleased song G.O.A.T.
