Offset Proclaims Migos ‘The Greatest’ After Lil Yachty Crowns Young Thug & Future

Offset and his Quality Control Music labelmate Lil Yachty have a difference of opinion on who’s the greatest. Both men have given the title to Atlanta-bred rappers, but the two differ on who’s got the crown.

Young Thug & Future Are The Greatest And Shall Be Respected And Spoken Of Like So,” Yachty wrote via Twitter on Saturday (July 18).

While Lil Boat’s declaration was self-effacing, Offset went the opposite direction just a few days later. On Monday (July 20), he stated his group Migos were sitting atop the throne.

“WE THE GREATEST,” he wrote. “WE ARE CULTURE THE FLOW YOU STOLE !!”

Offset also responded to a fan claiming Quavo, Takeoff and him fell off in the comments of the post. The Migos rapper pointed to the trio’s sales for 2018’s Culture II LP as proof they took no step back.

“How last album Migos put out did 200k first week,” he fired back at the Instagram user.

Migos are currently in the midst of some issues with their label after suing their longtime lawyer for professional malpractice and more. Quavo, Offset and Takeoff claim their attorney, who also represents Quality Control, favored QC while negotiating contracts and robbed them of millions.

In other Migos news, look out for HipHopDX’s upcoming interview with Layzie Bone as he’ll be addressing Bone Thugs-n-Harmony’s beef with the group.

    1. Mr. Offset there’s a Mr. Krayzie, Bizzy, Wish, Layzie, and Flesh that want to speak to you. Something about a stolen flow.

    2. I think both Migos and Lil Yachty should be careful not to generalise when they use the term “the greatest.” Label politics or Atlanta rap scene politics does not amount the politics of the whole rap game. Numbers should not come into the conversation unless they are record breaking or they make you the highest selling rapper alive. Neither of them were any of the above the last time I checked so what is the debate about!? They, as well as the role models they look upto in Future and Young Thug have a lot to do before they can be remotely associated with that term.

    3. Quality Control? Lol
How bout Jurassic 5, they tha Original.
We got alot of great mcz in da past.
Dat label has nothin but mumble rappers lol

    5. Again ? Trash migos being so disrespectful that flow came from bone thugs n harmony do ur history clowns

    6. I fux with Quavo. That being said, they needa have an androgynous catagory for Thug and future AND yachty ….and NBA youngboy….and trippie red…and lil pump….and all b4 the other flamboyant flamers.

      1. It’s gay…no matter how many ways you look at this shit. It’s still overwhelmingly gay…It’s Gangstalicious and the Homies Over Hoes Clique all over again from Boondocks.

    7. So all of this because Culture III is coming out ?…try some new shit. Stay woke my friends ?

    8. These gay ass niggaz wear skinny jeans so tight that their own nuts end up in their throats.

    9. Who are these clowns? Never heard of them…Didn’t one of them marry a prostitute named lardi b or something? Big is still the greatest ever. If we’re talking groups, bone got you fools smashed. I’d say even 2 live crew got you faded..smh

    10. What the fuck is going on in the World these days Migos, Future & Young Thug the greatest?? Nigga please wake the fuck up

    11. Lol all these old heads in these comments bitter af. Hope I don’t do that shit when I grow old.

    12. I like Quavo but the Migos lame…they stole bone thugs of harmony style…offset alway popping junk

    13. Isnt this yachty kid one of those idiots that was trashin’ 2Pac? I wouldn’t trust his judgement for nuthin.. He just got his license to drive like 6 years ago, bought his first blunt legally like 4 years ago.. and could finally legally buy alcohol last year and I am suppose to care who he says is the greatest? Too much of that pink hair dye is soakin into his scalp.. None of these guys are even in the top 20 greatest.. this is one of the most ignorant things i have ever heard in my life.. us “old heads” aint as bitter as we are concerned. The craft has been tainted with childish bars, 2 minute songs with 1 whole verse.. wow! Auto-tuned everything, repetitive singing/whining (calling themselves rappers), this whole metrosexual phase of rockin purses and junk and then the funny part is they tattoo their faces.. Nothing’s more “lit” than a dude rockin a purse with tats all over his face “singing” rap songs… I guess you are right, as I may be a bit bitter that my kids are getting force fed this new trash music and its trends.. I don’t even understand how this yachty guy even made it big.. I try to listen to some of these new guys, i am not hatin’ out of spite, but I just do not understand how this “free thinking” generation is allowing the industry to spoon feed some of this trash to you. Is there really that much of a lack of talent currently out there?!
