Offset has previewed a new potential single amid his ongoing legal battle with Quality Control Music.
On Monday (April 3), the Atlanta rapper posted a snippet on Instagram of the new record, and said that he’s feeling exactly like what he’s rapping about. The snippet shows him getting off in multiple settings with multi-colored threads of choice. But Offset’s lyrics seem to address QC and their bitter dispute.

“They can’t be too upset/ I coulda kept it to myself, they can’t be too upset/ I done broke bread, cut checks, they can’t be too upset/ I took dat rope off my neck, they couldn’t be too upset/ N-ggas still bite my style, they can’t be too upset/ I done laid low for awhile, they can’t be that upset/ N-ggas lost all my respect, they can’t be that upset,” Offset raps over the trap-heavy production.
The comments under the post were filled with those who are excited to hear new music from the former Migos member, while others are hoping for a reconciliation between him and Quavo.
Offset’s teaser comes after he addressed QC over allegations of wrongful interference with his new music. As reported by RadarOnline earlier this month, the 31-year-old claimed his former label is trying to take ownership of his upcoming solo projects, even though he paid a large amount of money to be released from his contract.
The two parties worked with each other for over a decade up until 2021, when Offset found out the terms of his deal and wanted to regain full control of his music outside of Migos. A settlement was met between Offset and QC where he paid a hefty price to reclaim the rights to his music.

After the negotiations, the Atlanta native released a single titled “54321” and continued to accuse the label of trying to claim ownership even when they settled on a deal.
“Offset now brings this action to vindicate his rights and make it clear to the world that Offset, not Quality Control, owns Offset’s music,” the rapper’s lawsuit stated.
In retaliation, Quality Control demanded the suit be thrown out, claiming there was an agreement with Capitol Records that required them to assign all of Capitol’s rights in sound recordings obtained by Quality Control’s “Accepted Artist” that it had furnished to Capitol back to Quality Control.
This isn’t the first time Offset has previewed new music during his dispute with Quality Control. Just last month, he teased a new track featuring TakeOff and Icewear Vezzo on social media.

He also announced on Instagram in March that he’s in “album mode” after delaying his sophomore solo LP following the tragic death of TakeOff last year.
