“Quality Control’s expansion into sports, film, and investment with several new wings of the media empire — QC Sports, Quality Films, and Quality Ventures. Spearheading their way through culture, Quality Control has become the modern-day blueprint for success in the industry,” Representative Park Cannon wrote in a letter.

“You have been chosen to be honored on QC Day because you have worked diligently at your craft and brought millions of dollars in revenue along with notoriety to the City of Atlanta.”

Coach K and P were presented with plaques at the Georgia Capitol building, where they were surrounded by friends and family. QC superstar Lil Baby was also present to support his mentors.

“March 15 Is Officially ‘QC Day,'” he wrote on Instagram while sharing footage from the ceremony. “Thank You Parker Cannon, Dexter Sharper and The Georgia House Of Representatives. It’s Always A Blessing When Your Hard Work Gets Acknowledged. #KeepGoingForward.”

Coach K and Pierre Thomas’ honor comes just weeks after they cashed in on their empire. Last month, Quality Control was acquired by Scooter Braun’s HYBE America in a lucrative deal worth $320 million.

According to Variety, the powerhouse Atlanta label — which also boasts its own sports, film and television divisions — entered into an agreement to merge with and be acquired by HYBE America.

The acquisition of Quality Control — which is home to some of the biggest names in Hip Hop including Lil BabyMigosLil Yachty and City Girls — marked Braun’s first major move since becoming sole CEO of HYBE America earlier this year.

In a statement, P spoke about the benefits of the partnership and taking the company global.

“HYBE are perfect partners for Quality Control as we come together to take our story and work global,” he said. “All of HYBE’s leaders are entrepreneurs with phenomenal combined history finding talent and taking it to the highest levels.

“Taking QC worldwide requires key partners like this who understand building something from the bottom and aiming sky high. It matters to us greatly their grasp of culture and acutely seeing what QC has built and the limitless path of where it can go.”
