Coi Leray’s rocky relationship with her father Benzino took another hit on Monday (February 21). Benzino spoke in a Clubhouse room over the weekend and teased a collaboration between his daughter and Nicki Minaj.
“She got this song with Nicki Minaj that’s gonna be coming out that’s gonna be crazy,” Benzino said. “Yup, her and Nicki did some shit.”
The 2022 HipHopDX Rising Star then hopped on Instagram Live after speaking with her father telling him he needs to “play the back” because it’s her turn now.
“He gotta play the back gracefully because it’s my turn now,” she explained. “You know? It’s my turn, daddy. I’ma need you to sit the fuck down, grab some popcorn, enjoy the show and clap for me when it’s time to clap for me.”
The chatter eventually made its way onto Nicki Minaj’s radar. On the heels of releasing a pair of collabs with Lil Baby, the Queens legend subliminally dismissed the idea of having any more collaborations on the way on Monday (February 21).
“I don’t have a collab coming with anyone,” she wrote. “Onika mode love you.”
With Coi Leray being a major fan of Nicki and having the unwanted stress added to kick off her week thanks to her pops, the “No More Parties” rapper voiced her frustration on Twitter.

“Every time I turn my head it’s some evil shit going on,” the 24-year-old said.
Benzino eventually took to Twitter as well to add a public apology to his daughter and Nicki Minaj for causing confusion.
“I just wanna apologize to Coi, Nicki everyone involved, I meant no harm nor did I mean to offend or disrespect anyone,” he penned. “I know better, it’s a business of trust and I broke that. I feel horrible and sad. I am 100 percent in the wrong and it will never happen again. Smh.”

Clubhouse lulls people into a fake comfort zone feeling like they’re only speaking to the people in that room instead of the whole world once it gets ripped from there and reposted. After a couple hours of sitting on there rambling they’re bound to say some dumb shit or just something that should be said.
Nicki lame as fuck to every female rapper that she sees as a threat. I guess she believes that her cockiness will keep her relevant but it won’t. Nicki failed to pay homage to lil Kim even after stealing her swag with both her appearance and message of her music. So no I don’t expect Nicki to be a role model to up and coming female rappers.
