Mike WiLL Made-It has enlisted the help of some of Hip Hop’s biggest stars to make his official return to making music again for the masses.
On Tuesday (March 7), the multi-platinum producer took to Instagram share a slide of photos which features him in the studio with Lil Uzi Vert, J. Cole, Future, Pharrell, and Rae Sremmurd. He also shared a few snippets of what the fruits of his labor have yielded him so far.
“There’s a BIG DIFFERENCE in falling OFF & falling BACK,” he wrote in the caption. “Eardrummer Summer Loading…”
Mike Will Made-It also took to Twitter to let fans know that he has a new song with Rae Sremmurd dropping this Friday (March 10) after a long hiatus.
“Mike Will x Rae Sremmurd season officially starts back up this Friday,” the Ear Drummers boss tweeted. “It’s been 5 solid years [Hourglass emoji, bomb emoji, fire emoji].”
He then teased a new collaboration between himself and singer Miley Cyrus, with whom he connected on the hit song “23” featuring Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J back in 2013. The pair were also romantically linked around that time.
“Mike Will x Miley Cyrus wave starts back Friday,” he added. “Sorry for the wait [Hourglass emoji, bomb emoji, and fire emoji].”
Mike WiLL Made-It also spoke about how he’s focused on creating timeless music as opposed to winning a bunch of accolades and being at the top of music charts.
“I been stopped aiming to go gold , platinum , diamond or to win a Grammy once I checked em all off my list it became strictly about the song being a classic because the accolades will always figure themselves out, i rather stay focus on creating the next & let ‘em be a surprise,” he wrote.
The super producer then let his fans know that he’s “definitely in [his] bag.”
Mike WiLL Made-It is responsible for some of the biggest hits of the 2010s including “Way Too Gone” by Young Jeezy and Future, “Mercy” featuring Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz, and “No Type” by Rae Sremmurd.
His last solo album, Ransom 2, dropped in 2017, while he also teamed up with the late Trouble — who was shot and killed last June — for Edgewood the following year.
