Metro Boomin was crowned as the greatest producer of his entire generation by 21 Savage as he brought the rapper out during his 2023 Coachella set.
Young Metro’s set went down on Friday (April 14), the very first night of the three-day, two-weekend festival. In addition to guests like John Legend, Future, Don Toliver and legendary producer Mike Dean on the keys, Metro was joined by 21, who had high praise for his “Creepin” collaborator.

“Make some noise for the greatest producer of our generation,” 21 said.
Diddy and The Weeknd also joined for the “Creepin” performance, much to the crowd’s delight. Check out the video below.
The remix is a full-circle moment for Diddy as he was also featured on Mario Winans’ “I Don’t Wanna Know,” which Metro sampled for “Creepin.” “I Don’t Wanna Know” itself sampled Enya’s “Boadicea” and EPMD‘s “You’re a Customer.”
“Creepin’” quickly became a fan-favorite on Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album itself debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 185,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, marking Metro Boomin’s third No. 1 album.
It’s also the sequel to Metro’s previous album, 2018’s Not All Heroes Wear Capes, and serves as the second installment in a planned trilogy.
In addition to The Weeknd and 21 Savage, Heroes & Villains boasted appearances from a host of A-list names including Future, Travis Scott, Chris Brown, Young Thug, A$AP Rocky, Gunna, Young Nudy, Don Toliver, John Legend and the late TakeOff.

Up next, Metro will add a joint album with J.I.D to his busy 2023 release schedule – revealing plans for a full-length collaboration with the Dreamville lyricist last month.
“Got a lot of new music coming but when me and @JIDsv drop,” Metro tweeted with a photo of themselves in the studio and a series of fire and spiral eyes emojis.

J.I.D confirmed the pair are working on a full project together by correcting a tweet that claimed they were merely teasing a new song.
While the duo have yet to release any music together, they appear to have already hit it off in the studio.
“I love working with u brudda, it’s an honor,” J.I.D replied to Metro’s tweet, to which he responded: “Honor is mine family [handshake emoji].”
The St. Louis native is also expected to be a “big presence” on A$AP Rocky’s eagerly anticipated new album Don’t Be Dumband is web-slinging his way into Hollywood by contributing original music to Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse, which hits theaters in June.
