    1. yoh, was not even aware R Kelly is out….no more hype around R Kelly albums that coz he stopped being innovative on albums like TP3 with the hit song, ‘Ignition’

ever since then he’s competing with Chris Brown, Usher, Trey Songs & Neo to stay relevant

he needs to be an innovator not a follower or else that would be his demise

Chris Brown is def not talented as R Kelly is, but yet he sells more so u can’t blame it on the climate of record sales but blame it on Rob himself for not being trendy anymore

Feeling single is a good record but an average melody for a innovative artist like R Kelly…that song suits Neo

on the last album, the only innovative song was ‘Taxi Cab’ but it was never made a single instead the average ones were made videos except ‘When a woman loves’

Otherwise besides the gospel album, the last creative songs i heard from Robert were on TP3

      1. Have you heard his new material? He is not competing with those guys at all. Clearly you haven’t heard what he reinvented himself into.

      2. a bunch of baseless assumption. your CLEARLY have NOT heard any of this new stuff? AT ALL. stop talking out of your ass.

im not into r kelly though

    2. Considering this album is being headlined by the “hottest rapper in the game” this is still considered a flop.

      1. Hottest rapper in the game in a different context… as in he has an ear for beats and can collab with almost anybody. The true hottest rapper in the game would be someone like LilWayne

Ross has always made these kinds of numbers, always goes barely gold so this isn’t a flop. But he’s right where he deserves to be

      2. group albums rarely sell as much a solo albums. we a young money did 150k first week. wayne’s solo album did 1 million.

    3. Why the heck am I not surprised…I mean these dudes are garbabge…”im a boss” lol..”men lie women lie numbers dont”

    4. Niggas shit aint gettin no buzz and gonna sell 6 figures in the first week. Niggas can keep hatin but MMG one of the hottest labels out there. GFID gon be classic, where all yo favorite rappers at?

      Bawse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      1. yeah he a bitch any other rapper he all over this website talking shit now when its his idol itts good he moving 6 figures hahah

    5. You know the world is fucked up when somebody makes an album titled Self Made Vol 2. They’re all selfish bastards. If anybody wants it please do society a favor and BOOTLEG THIS BULLSHIT.

      1. do you even know what self made means? your comment makes sense. what is correlation between the world being fucked up and being self made? again i ask do you know what self made even means?

    6. congrats my ass THIS IS A FLOP FOR A EMPIRE LIKE MMG haha WU TANG ALBUMS ARE COMPILATIONS G-UNIT ALBUMS ARE COMPLILATIONS THE CHRONIC ALBUMS ARE COMPILATIONS STOP MAKING EXCUSES THIS FAT FUCK IS DONE TRIPLE C ALBUM 12K FIRST WEEK AHAHA

    7. with ross being the hottest rapper in the game along with meek and with the features on this album its A FLOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

      1. Yayo only had one solo album. One. If he dropped another one, he couldn’t move 50,000 units–not in the first week, but overall.

    8. The LOX – Money, Power & Respect: Platinum

The LOX – We Are the Streets: Platinum

      G-Unit – Beg For Mercy: 2x Platinum

      D12 – Devil’s Night – Platinum

      D12 – D12 World: 2x Platinum

MMG >>>>>> Crush your bud up on any which one of these niggas faces

    9. WOW MEEK MIXTAPE GOT WHAT? 2 MIL DOWNLOADS AND THIS ALBUM WONT EVEN GO GOLD ALOT OF FAKEE MMG FANS I SEE

    10. Back in the day, Cashis, Stat Quo, and Bobbycreek Water didn’t even have solo careers and yet Eminem’s compilation CD The Re-Up still managed to go platinum.

    11. WOW MEEK MIXTAPE GOT WHAT? 2 MIL DOWNLOADS AND THIS ALBUM WONT EVEN GO GOLD ALOT OF FAKE MMG FANS I SEE

      1. you right, that nigga has the only real chance, Omarion career is dead, Stalley is wack and Wale is hella wack, Triple C is a fuckin joke and they boss Ross can’t go platinum to save his fuckin’ life

    12. Get Rich or Die Tryin’: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture is the soundtrack to the 2005 film of the same name, released on November 8, 2005 on G-Unit and Interscope Records. It features artists on the G-Unit label such as 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, Olivia, and Mobb Deep. In December 2005, the RIAA certified the album platinum.[1] To date, the album has sold over three million copies worldwide.

      1. cosign, that’s why he still don’t headline his own tours, niggas don’t fuck w/ him like that he a #wangsta

      2. rozay sold out london 4 times in the space of 2 weeks how can you say hes not international! hes the most listened to rap artist outside the US, so give him hes props.

    13. The Dynasty: Roc La Familia 557,000 copies sold in its first week and more than 2.3 million copies sold to date

    14. the thing about ross is that he needs features to be hot….drake or wayne always make dude hot but if they are gone nobody really cares about him

    15. thats pretty good numbers alot better than most solo artist that have been dropping waka b.o.b just 2 name a couple

    16. Unrelated, but since I know HHDX keeps the mainstream dick in they mouth and they aint gonna report this anyway, take a look at Rhymefest blog about Chief Keef earlier todays. dude went the fuck in

      http://donnienicole.com/2012/06/27/chief-keef-is-the-bomb/

“Chief Keef is a “Bomb”, he represents the senseless savagery that white people see when the news speaks of Chicago violence. A Bomb has no responsibility or blame, it does what it was created to do; DESTROY! Notice, no one is talking about the real culprits, the Bomb maker or the pilot who is deploying this deadly force (Labels, Radio Stations). Its easier to blame the bomb. Bombs are not chosen for their individual talents, they are tools used for collateral damage. To think of the persona of Chief Keef as a person would be the first mistake, he will more then likely come and go without us knowing much of anything about his personal pains, struggles, great loves and ambitions beyond rap. He is a spokesman for the Prison Industrial Complex. Every corporation is expected to grow at least 4% each quarter, many prisons are privately owned with stock being traded on the open market. If these corporations were to do commercials, jingles and promotions who would they hire? You got it, most of the main stream rappers we salivate over like Rick Ross the former correctional officer turned Drug Lord Boss rapper. Waka Flocka Flame gang bang “GO HARD IN THE PAINT” and Chief Keef the newest lottery pick in the “Get paid to destroy young minds, like we destroyed yours” Sweepstakes.”

      1. LMAO!!

No, not decent numbers, Tech N9ne did better then that without a label behind him

more like LAUGHABLE NUMBERS, HORRIBLE NUMBERS, PATHETIC NUMBERS FOR THE SUPPOSED “HOTTEST CREW IN THE GAME”

      2. Maan fuck you Tech have never sold more than 20k in the first week. Don’t forget that G-Unit TOS also sold these numbers so fuckyourself this is going Gold which is more than great for compilation.

    17. “yet Eminem’s compilation CD The Re-Up still managed to go platinum”

Are you slow? That album had Em and 50 on the key tracks. Of course it was going to sell a mill. MMG mostly consists of dudes who haven’t blown up yet, but who have higher profiles than Cashis, Stat Quo and Bobby Pisswater.

      1. Higher Profiles yet still cant sell shit, lol, I’d rather be Bobby Creek then Wale walking around famous with no money to show for it, cause you know Ross got him on a 360 deal to make up for all the money spent on that album nobody bought, so half of Wale’s tour money and whatever else he does goes to buy Rick Ross more chicken wings

    18. STOP DOWNLOADING FOR FREE…HOW THE FUCK IS EXPECT FOR 1 MILLION ALBUMS SOLD IF THE SAME MMG DICKRIDERS ARE BOOTLEGGIN THE MUSIC….HOP OFF AND BUY IT…I BET IF RICK ROSS BLEW UP BEFORE THIS DOWNLOADING FOR FREE BULLSHIT STARTED HE’LL B TRIPLE PLATINUM ALL DAY….MMG BITCH UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!…RICH FOREVER MIXTAPE GOT OVER 1 MILLION DOWNLOADS ON DATPIFF.COM

      1. wtf you talking about albums have been getting bootlegged since the cassette tape era just go cry in your corner its over mmg dead for life ahaha

      2. all these niggas rap about is money, cars and how rich he is, sounds like he dont really need me to go out and buy his album

    19. This is a good start for the CD. I didnt even know it came out this week and Im an MMG fan. 1. Only rapper on this compilation that has sold anything around a million is Rozay. 2. Meek aint dropped his debut yet 3. Wale last album sold over 400,000 copies. 4. This is a compilation album, not an album by just one of these artist 5. Record sales are terrible anyway…how you gonna expect for a Complilation album to sell more than what the biggest or smallest artists on it sell? Ross aint Wayne, Jigga, or Kanye. 6. These dudes arent pop, only one that had success on R&B charts was Wale and Rozay. They dont make top 10 pop singles. Good numbers for them out of the gate. They sold more than R. Kelly and that dude was the biggest R&B artist of the 90’s and early 2000’s. the GOOD music comp should do a little better because they got higher profile singles and a higher profile main attraction (kanye).

      1. You Lowered expectations ass niggas can talk in circles all you want, bottom line is this is supposedly the hottest crew out and they aint gonna sell shit.

Rap is dead, the only rappers who can go platinum now are the ones who fuse their music with R&B (Drake, Wayne), or the old guys who have fans that still remember what record stores look like (Jay, Em)

The rest of these dudes, lol, shits funny, I love hip hop but with how bad they bastardized it on a mainstream level I’m glad to see artists like Ross, Nicki Minaj, B.O.B and the rest of them not even be able to sell a milli no matter how hard they try to sell out, its karma

      2. Compare it to both G-Unit albums. MMG is at the top now with these sales and is on track to sell less than T.O.S. which dropped after G-Unit’s popularity had died down. It would only stand a chance if it debuts at a higher chart position than G-Unit, which shows the sales in comparison to other artists. Not looking good for Ross.

      3. Good Music compilation will actually be interesting from what I’ve heard. This shit got like 3 joints I fucked w/ the rest is fillers #wacksauce

      1. How do you say Number one a flop? And don’t forget that most of the producers and rappers on this album are from MMG so they didn’t spent too much money for big producers or big names.

      2. Don’t get it twisted, this shit is a flop for real….if g-unit tos can sell over 100k first week and be called a flop then this shit here is wood

      3. lol. g-unit went from millions to a few thousands, that’s a huge difference. ross never sold that much.

    20. this is a group album that flopped gtfoh with using the word compilation as a cruch this aint hits now vol 7 this is a mmg album ahah

    21. not bad numbers but i thought 3 of them were ment to be the hottest things in the game and the biggest brand or was that just paid for cause they do spend loads of money on promo all over the net and had all the big names on twitter begging people to buy it lol

    22. Rick Ross claimed that if “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” by ’50 Cent sold 10 million copies, then my next record (‘Deeper than Rap’) will sell 12 million, however this did not materialize.

      1. 50 Cent claimed that if ”Curtis” would sell less than ”Graduation”, then I will retire, however this did not materialize.

    23. Everybody keeps making excuses as to why Rick Ross can’t or can go platinum…. Bottom line is that if Rick Ross would have not lied when confronted about being a C/O and I know 50 cent took his name from some gangsta nicca in NY, and so did some other rappers, but the difference between other rappers and Rick Ross, is that HE STOLE THE NAME FROM A NICCA WHO IS STILL ALIVE!! Dude took on his persona down to the fuckin beard!! The nicca is a fraud and even though he makes decent music, HE IS STILL A FRAUD!! Big WWE nigga…. He will never go plat off albums… he might off singles, but will never do big album sales.. period

      1. 50 is da real boss, hip hop is for pussys these days i think that alot of people stopped listnin to rap music just becous of those homo rappers.

    24. ain’t these niggas supposed to be the hottest mc’s in the game…hahahahaha 90k first week is weak son…y’all were laughing about Game’s RED sales he had no buzz no hit single no radio play still managed to get 98k first week…look at these niggas Ross is named the fuckin hottest MC in the game still he has never crossed more than 200k first week…#FUCKMMG #FUCKRickRoss #FuckWale

    25. Great numbers. You can see by how many people are coming out the woodwork to try and spin it. If G-Unit came out today, they’d do 5,000.

Times change and they’re changing at a rapid rate. No crew is gonna do these units and you know it. Every hot artist that drops is called a flop, who doesn’t flop lol? Yall can’t hate the crew out of existence no matter how hard you try

    26. Meek Mill is now unwelcome at some New York nightclubs after being caught up in the June 14 brawl at W.i.P. in SoHo between Chris Brown and Drake that left several clubgoers injured. The Philly-born rapper was partying with Drake’s camp at the hot spot when the fight broke out between entourages that sent liquor bottles flying. Early yesterday, Mill was turned away from Meatpacking District club Tenjune after rolling up at about 2 a.m. And he even eagerly posted word of his arrival at the swanky spot on Twitter. But the bouncers didn’t seem to share his zeal for getting inside. Mill tweeted after he was denied by the doormen: “I don’t got no love for these clubs that discriminate against a certain race! [Bleep] you . . . u won’t get these racks!” (For our slang-impaired readers, “racks” means “money,” in thousands.) After Mill left, observers told us that police showed up at the venue because of an unrelated incident, but left within minutes. A Tenjune rep had no comment on the incident. (New York Post)

    27. GOOD NUMBERS FOR A COMPILATION ALBUM Y’ALL FORGOT THAT THE G-UNIT T.O.S ALBUM DID 90K FIRST WEEK RIGHT? 4YRS AGO ON INTERSCOPE BACK WHEN ALBUMS WERE SELLING RIGHT?..U 50 DICKRIDERS ARE THE BEST LOOL…MMG RUNING THE GAME

    28. Self made vol 1 did 45k first week now vol 2 doubled it..these are great numbers for a comp album…wating for Nas GFID n Slaughterhouse now, good Summer for Hip Hop

    29. Decent numbers for a compilation album, it doubled what the last one did, and exceededd my personal expectations. Still, I think Cruel Summer’s first week sales will embarrass it

    30. You can’t front on rickys business hustle. His flow is signature. His subject matter tends to be the same (i.e. ballin, bottles, etc.) and his crew all have a good flow. The game needs MMG to fill that lane, just like you need G.O.O.D and some could say YMCMB is needed as well. All in All it all boils down to what Jay z and Kanye due. They move the culture forward on a global level and push the genre into new markets and everybody knows that Kanye is a beast an waits to see what he’s gonna due next. Every crew is needed MMG, YMCMB, Roc Nation, and G.O.O.D.
