    1. My fav rappers are big krit, Gibbs, and Nipsey, rock with meek’s music heavy, Off course legends Pac, Bone Thugs, Outkast. I’m not a lil wayne fan, but hands down this is hip hop album of the year. His voice is not 100% there but good enough, he still got the skills and the passion, the production was perfect.

        1. Lupe doesn’t shift the culture like WAYNE. This dude is back. He came with it on this. I had counted him out. This is History for the Game. We needed Wayne back on top. Monumental.

    2. I only decided to listen to Hip hop after I heard the Roots. Stayed cuz of Nas, Common and a few other. I listen to elevated socially aware musicians. With the number of people who’ve died from OD. You’ll think rappers will grow. So when someone says if I die bury me next to lean or I’m colour blind in their raps then only illiterates will consider such a GOAT. Lil Wayne is not my cup of tea

    3. There is no way XXX tentacion was on this album back when it was originally meant to be released. Is this all new ish?

    4. Gotta say I’m impressed so far with Wayne’s technical rapping skills on here so far. Wonder when he made these tracks. His skills are undeniable on this one y’all. Can’t speak for the last several years but this is dope

    5. I was expecting a lazy album with the mindset I’m Wayne ppl will eat it up anyway. He got in his bag on it. He updated the sound still being him. It’s as good as anything else out this year. I kinda forgot lil Wayne but this was a reminder. Dude is more than capable.

    6. Missed with this. Carter IV was timeless. Not a HUGE Wayne fan at the best of times but the previous album had CLASSIC joints. Wayne still rapping nice, but the substance just wasn’t their on this. Damn.

        1. Never said the album was trash. But for the Carter series it’s a miss. I didn’t need to listen to Mirrors, She will, President Carter, Blunt Blowin, Megaman etc to realise they were classic joints. This ain’t got it.

    7. Wasn’t there news being spread that Post Malone was added last minute?

I didn’t see a Postie feature, so I’m gonna assume that it’s Post talking on “I Love You Dwyane”

    8. First listen I wasn’t impressed at all. Been a Wayne fan since 2004(I believe that’s when c1 dropped). I graduated HS in 04 so c1 was my soundtrack. I said that to say, maybe I outgrew Weezy’s lyrical content and flow cadence. I liked the carter series because it had interludes and skits that tied the album together(walk in/walk out, the mobb, fly out, etc.). I’m not saying he has to follow that same formula, but why even name the album “carter 5”? I’ll give it another couple spins thru to catch a couple lines. Not feeling it on first play tho. First listen 2.5/5

    9. Massive error ball and huge Wayne fan. 4 tracks dope. Could have had a 12 track banger. Too much filler. Very disappointed terrible features. Wayne has Drake who is the biggest artist in the world and no feature. Waste my 13 .99.

    10. To be honest I don’t think this is the real c5 just my opinion….this doesn’t sound good at all.Im a huge tunchei fan but seriously he could’ve came harder than that

    11. This album is sad…out of 23 tracks maybe 4 is ok…best song is cant be broken…4 yrs for this I see why birdman didnt want to release this…

    12. Why would people support a backstabbing bitch who backstabbed birdman? Wayne also withheld Drake’s money as well. Fuck wayne.

    13. Nowdays the moment an album drops, people react madly & call it album of the year lol. Ita good album , 7-8 tracks fire, but 8 songs out of 23 song album???. Decent but not “Album of the year” contender

      1. Judging an album not even one day old is retarded no matter if you call it a classic or call it garbage. The man put some hard work into making this music and the listeners won’t even give some time to LISTEN but throw their garbage opinions like it’s nothing asap. Fuck dat. (just sayin Prakhar i do not mean you personally)

        1. Bro, it’s middle age lil wayne lol. Your acting like it’s a Ghostface or Rakim album and ppl aren’t giving it time to resonate. U don’t need wayne to resonate haha. It’s either good, or not good.

          1. Nah Jay we think a little different, I don’t care if it’s Ghostface or Wayne I need some time to listen, to know if a melody, lyrics, hooks will stick with me it takes time one day I might not like it for whatever reason and another day I may love it. First impression is often false. BTW middle age Wayne? So who is Ra or Ironman they grandpas bro! Wayne ain’t washed up no way

            1. Wayne isn’t washed up? We definitely don’t see eye to eye on this haha. But you do you man! Enjoy it if you like it.

        2. And people judge things instantly… Didn’t have to listen to Get Rich Or Die Trying more than once to know that it was an amazing, classic album. Literally, first listen amazing.

    14. Pleasantly surprised. Very good from Wayne and his best in years. What always separated him from his clones was his creativity and that he could actually rap, which most of them can’t. Not quite the form of his prime of 2002-2007, but that would be a bit much to ask of anyone to recapture. A solid 8 out of 10. Definitely better than Astro World or Drake’s latest album and other things that have gotten a lot of ink this year.

    15. I dont know what tf a lot of you are listening to. This album is a masterpiece. Wayne went back to that gangster shit. This is his high point. Ive listened to this shit thru 4 times front to back

    16. The more times i listen to it, the more I like it. Definitely an album you have to give a few spins. I like it a lot more than C4

      1. I like this album..cause hes really trying to spit! He hasnt spit since Carter 3, which was his magnum opus….this is goes hard man TUNECHI IS BACK

      1. No it really doesnt. Its clearly wayne rapping in his own style. this is how i knowmost of you clowns on this site dont even listen to modern music you dunce

    17. Never was really a Wayne fan but I like what I’ve heard. He’s sounds like he’s rapping with effort, I always felt like he sounded like he was whining when he rhymed.

    18. Drake music is more of female and kids music that why he outsell, no cooperate want to promote gan music. This album is for millennial the one’s heard weezy was great. I was hoping for features with likes of Jay, bey and some grow people who make sense. No breezy, no game, no Em. Ill rate it 8/15 lol

    19. Every Carter album after Carter 3 is straight disrespectful to the Carter 3 legend. Like dude somewhere below here says, you’d expect some mature features man not damn Travis Scott. When rappers sign on their choruses lately you know it’s soon to be trash music. Bring back Ne-yo/ Akon/ Tpain/ Breezy/ Nate dogg choruses bruhhh

    20. My favorite rappers are big krit, freddie gibbs, nipsey hussle, jay rock, and I rock with dave east and meeks music, all time favorite is Pac, Bone Thugs, Outkast with that being said I’m not a wayne fan I do think he was the best mainstream rapper for a good strecth starting around like 05. This album to me is one of his best, his voice is not 100% there but good enough, lyrics on point, effort and desire on point, production is on point, usually when someone has like 20 or more songs on a album more than half are throw away’s not this one. I think Kendrick maybe the best overall rapper right now by a little over krit, but Kendrick albums don’t hit to me not for me personally, with the exception of section 80 and gkmc, I can’t put on kendrick and ride to it. IMO the C5 is the best rap album I’ve heard this year.

    21. Everybody gets excited too easily nowadays. This album is o.k and is the worst one out of the Carter Series. I can see why Baby didn’t want to release this. There are no memorable songs or classics on this album. Its 2.5/5 its o.k I liked 4 songs off it.

    22. C2 a classic everything after is trash. Including this auto tuned up mess. Gave it a 5 minute skim and boy is it stinky. Hang em up Wayne

    23. Solid album. Not a masterpiece, but solid work. The problem is – is overhyped because it’s releases took 5 years, so everybody counted this album will be a miracle, of course if won’t be, but it’s still solid album.

The thing what seperates it from the rest of Carter series is, the previous albums have bring someething new and fresh to the table, on this there is not much stuff like that.

But hey – I’m still happy finally is released. My rate – 3.7/5. But withevery next listening I like it more and more. Good album.

    24. He’s one of the nicest MCs ever, but it doesn’t always translate into good music. To his credit, he takes chances and he experiments with different styles instead of playing it safe, and I like that. I don’t love this record, but it has its moments. I need to absorb it more. To me his dopest work is still that FWA record that nobody liked. Peace.

    25. The album is just okay……..It really sounds like it should’ve came out about 5 years ago. Its not a classic or anything to brag about.

    26. Y’all over scrutinized, critique and over analyze all hip hop, some of this is good some ain’t I can always listen to Weezy tracks though.. #80sbaby

    27. It’s ok.. nothing to be excited about .. after all the talk and the wait I expected way more .. the shady album was way better than this album

      1. How to kill your rap career do not drop a album 4 to 5 years go to the drink a shit load of lean an serve go to the hospital 2 times almost die from seizures and try to put another album together. Now his voice sounds like he is major retarded S M H.

    28. Fresh air , but dont get hyped from the supposed da going to pursue charges on bird man and thugger . All gimmicks but i like the sound

    29. Very underwhelming album release date … I feel like I felt when I got Revival.

At some point I FORGOT THAT I’m listening to the album…. and had to replayed some songs

…but ey atleast we got Revival

    30. Solid effort. Wayne is definitely spitting on this album. The album has 23 tracks so it will take a while for me to listen to everything a couple times and get a good feel for Wayne’s direction.

    31. All these motherfkrs talking shit about this album dont know shit about rapping and i hope they all die in car crash
