Lil Pump Supports Gucci Boycott But Will Continue Performing “Gucci Gang”

The Gucci brand is facing a boycott after releasing a turtleneck sweater that resembled blackface. Lil Pump has joined the growing list of Hip Hop artists supporting the boycott, but his stance comes with a small caveat.

During an Instagram livestream, Pump said he no longer supports Gucci but won’t stop performing his hit single “Gucci Gang.”

“That done song changed my life,” he explained. “That’s the only reason why I will keep performing that song, ’cause that’s the song that changed my life. I went from broke to rich to that song. So, you know, it is what it is.”

Last week, Gucci issued an apology for the offensive clothing item and removed it from stores.

“Gucci deeply apologizes for the offense caused by the wool balaclava jumper,” the luxury brand said in a statement. “We can confirm that the item has been immediately removed from our online store and all physical stores. We consider diversity to be a fundamental value to be fully upheld, respected, and at the forefront of every decision we make.

“We are fully committed to increasing diversity throughout our organization and turning this incident into a powerful learning moment for the Gucci team and beyond.”

    1. Honestly I don’t blame him. You got T.I. and these other black celebrities trying to boycott Gucci for 3 whole months lol wtf is that? If I was black I would never wear that shit again so if they dont care why should lil pump care

    2. Blacks people can talk down on every other race but no one can mention there’s. Is that because their history so rubbish, why don’t they try do some good for once.

    3. Wow it’s a sweater wit a black face no one cares. How many blacks shot blacks last week I wonder but better not mention that lol.

      1. Because anyone with common sense, understands that humans murder other humans. What does blacks killing blacks, have to do with a company making a clothing product, that resembles something that was used to disrespect a race of people? Draw the correlation between murder and this for us all please.

        1. Because black people don’t mention their own wrong doings but quick to point finger at anyone who does anything slightly against them. It’s a sweater get over it, they stopped selling it move on try stop black on black crime which is a real issue.

          1. Black on black crime is a very serious issue, as is all crimes other races commit against their very own are. There are groups that try to gather up solutions to help this horrible problem. So you can take that black folks don’t mention their wrong doings bs somewhere else. There’s plenty that fight to make changes. And still, black on black crime has nothing to do with the products Gucci tried to sell to its customers. Which is why I asked for a correlation between murder, and a clothing product that resembles something that was used to make fun of blacks.
