Kodak Black enjoyed a massive payday with some additional benefits for his new collaboration with 6ix9ine.
During a No Jumper interview on Sunday (July 23), Wack 100 explained how he orchestrated the joint single between the two artists. After getting paid “a whole lot of money,” Kodak finally met up with the record executive. They got past the technicalities of paperwork and then set a date and time to get the Floridian in the booth.
“It was supposed to be like 8 o’ clock, I seen Kodak by 1 [am],” he said. “Some things worth waiting on. Kodak pulled up [with] his girl and his kid, with fire in his eyes.”
After having a “man-to-man” conversation with 6ix9ine, both artists recorded their parts for what was subsequently released as “Shaka Laka” on Friday (July 21) with Yailin la Mas Viral.
“And then right before [Kodak] left, shit, we kept it gangsta,” Wack revealed. “He came in a black car and he left in a Rolls-Royce. Tossed him the keys, tell him ‘go home’ … he put his baby seat in that bitch, he jumped in the driver’s seat, he put his driver in the passenger seat, his queen in the back and I jumped on the freeway with him.”
Though the new joint has already generated millions of streams, not everyone is thrilled about it. Boosie Badazz is among those disappointed with Kodak Black for joining forces with 6ix9ine.
The Baton Rouge rapper took to Instagram Live on Thursday (July 20) to put Kodak on blast for working with Tekashi, whose reputation as a snitch has made him a reviled figure in the rap world.
In a disappointed rant, Boosie claimed the Sniper Gang boss has “no morals or principles” and stated he “ain’t no street n-gga” as a result of the collaboration.
“That n-gga Yak fucked me up,” he said. “I wonder how all them Zoes feel, dawg? I know them Zoes fucked up right now.
“I know the state of Florida fucked up right now. This n-gga ain’t got no morals, don’t got no principles. Damn. Thought that little n-gga wasn’t like that, bro. N-gga ain’t no street n-gga, at all. Damn. Fucked me up.”
He added: “N-gga hurt me with that one, fucked me up. Don’t care how much money you give.”
“Business is business”
Money Talks, 🐂 💩 walks free due to snitching 🐀
It’s all lies. Obviously.
The song most definitely wouldn’t generate anywhere near enough revenue as a single to cover the cost of a Rolls-Royce.
Let alone everyone else involved making a dollar.
I’m sick of all the lies.
