The Cleveland rapper took to Twitter on Sunday night (May 14) to share a few teasers and clear up speculation about his upcoming project.

When one fan asked if his unreleased Carti collaboration “Solo Dolo, Pt. IV” will appear on the album, Cudi said the Whole Lotta Red hitmaker hasn’t given him permission to use the song, which he feels is a “very weak” move.

“He wont clear it which is very weak,” he wrote. “So yea it wont be on there. Which is ok becuz the shit I have on this album fuckin smacks and ur faces will melt.”

Kid Cudi played “Solo Dolo, Pt. IV” for the first time during his To The Moon Tour stop in Paris in November 2022.

“This is one song I’ve been sitting on for a while,” he told the crowd. “It features my brother, Playboi Carti, and it’s called ‘Solo Dolo, Pt. IV.'”

“Solo Dolo, Pt. IV” serves as the fourth installment of Cudi’s song series that has featured on previous albums Man on the Moon: The End of Day, Indicud and Man on the Moon III: The Chosen.

King Wziard and King Vamp previously collaborated in 2020 on “M3tamorphosis,” which appeared on the latter’s aforementioned Whole Lotta Red LP.

One of Playboi Carti’s most popular unreleased songs, “Pissy Pamper — famously known as “Kid Cudi” — also features an appearance from Cudi, but it didn’t end up making it onto the album.

Despite allegedly refusing to clear “Solo Dolo, Pt. IV,” Playboi Carti has shown Kid Cudi plenty of love in the past. During a conversation with the Lonely Stoner for Interview Magazine in 2021, the Atlanta native praised Cudi for making him feel understood and less like a “loner.”

“When I get around you, I realize why I love you so much,” he said. “I even appreciate [Kanye West] for introducing me and you. Being able to talk to somebody who understands what I’m saying, I got that from his whole camp.

“I felt that energy from everybody he deals with. I didn’t feel like a loner. The world I’m trying to build, he already got it going on. Ye is on this king vamp shit. Cudi is on this king vamp shit. Y’all already on that.”
