Kanye West Tops Simon Wiesenthal Center’s 2022 Global Antisemitism List

Kanye West‘s long list of antisemitic antics have landed him on top of this year’s Simon Wiesenthal Center’s (SWC) Global Antisemitism List.

The Jewish global human rights organization — which researches the Holocaust and hate in a historic and contemporary context — released its annual global antisemitism Top 10 list on Thursday (December 29) in Israel.

Ye topped the list for “his continued anti-Semitic comments and leveraging his immense social media platform to weaponize hate, bigotry, and ignorance.”

“The unprecedented mainstreaming of Jew-hatred on social media, led by Kanye West (Ye) fueled anti-Semitic hate crimes, and normalized anti-Jewish hate speech,” Rabbi Marvin Hier, SWC Founder and CEO, and Rabbi Cooper, SWC Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action, said in a statement.

“Politicians offer words of solace to Jewish victims but fail to take effective measures to curb the attacks, while UN diplomats, cultural and academic elite often legitimize hatred of the Jewish state.”

You can check out the full list here.

Other organizations and individuals included on the Top 10 list include: the United Nations Human Rights Council; Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority; Violent Attacks on Jews in New York, Chicago, London and Germany; the Black Hebrew Israelite Movement, and Documenta Art.

Ye’s inclusion on the list comes after he was recently voted Antisemite Of The Year” by the American non-profit watchdog group StopAntisemitism.org.

The group made the announcement earlier this month in a video congratulating Ye for “propagating the most Jew hatred in 2022.”

The clip cited examples of Kanye West’s offences including the infamous “death con 3” tweet that led to his first Twitter suspension, and highlighted interviews as examples of Ye “referencing antisemitic tropes of Jewish greed and obsessions of money.”

Ye, who has been criticized a lot this year for his repeated antisemitic remarks, recently doubled down on his love of the bigoted German mass murderer Adolf Hitler during an interview with Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes in Los Angeles.

A week earlier, Ye praised Hitler and Nazis in a separate interview with far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who last month was ordered to pay hundreds of millions of dollars for promoting false claims about the Sandy Hook mass shooting.

“Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler,” Ye told Jones.

This month also saw Kanye West linked to what authorities in New York have called an antisemitic attack on an elderly Jewish man in Central Park.

According to the New York Post, the 63-year-old man was attacked while strolling through the park on December 14. Authorities say the assailant made several antisemitic statements before yelling out “Kanye 2024” and walking off.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated for a chipped tooth and a broken hand.

    1. how is this rap news? hiphop dx wants to tell you black folk hate each other want to tell you to worship some evil jew who’s only religion is ripping off black folks in the ghetto with their filthy slums they overcharge us to live in then they give each other their small hat awards acting so pious. they are nothing but evil fucking theives their so called religion is a buy i pyramid scheme fuck them all. You want to humiliate ye now you have issues that wont end. no amount of clown replies u send can change our minds

      1. lol better truth what does that mean . guess it’s racist when they tell you rent is too high – “go to love and light brother” when you angry about the roaches in the laundry room “Give up your hatred” glad I dont have to face that anymore. people with jobs paying to live in a slum getting told they aren’t grateful enough give up the hatred

    2. The Zionists are a political party that hijacked the Jewish religion. Thats why you have white people who dont follow the Torah but claim to be Jewish by bloodline. Its like if I claimed to be Muslim just because my ancestors were from the middle east. These are religions, not races. Go ask any Rabbi what they think about non-religious “Jews” and they will have nothing positive to say. The non-religious Jews are the ones that run Hollywood and the music industry. Those are the people who Kanye hates, not the religious Jews. This whole beef is a waste of time because in America Jews are basically white, especially the non-religious Jews. Nazi vs. Jews is basically white on white crime.

    3. So, in NYC alone over 150 jewish men assaulted for being Jewish. But the guy who says “I love Hitler. I love Mao. I love Stalin. I love everyone” is “anti Semite if the year” hahaha. Kanye is just speaking the truth. Jews run the media, and more often than not make up the majority of the presidential cabinet, which advises presidents on what to do. They also generally make up at least 30% of the most powerful positions in any given corporation. So yeah, they’re powerful, and they rip people off. How that translates to “you’re racist against jews” is beyond me.

    4. I still don’t know how ye is a racist. Did he make some inappropriate comments….yes. But how exactly did he oppress the Jewish community? What specific actions did he take to harm them? Did he implement any laws or regulations to limit that specific group of people? Did he benefit from the suffering/oppression of Jewish people. Outside of saying ignorant comments out of anger and frustration, what did he really do?
