Joey Bada$$ Has New Music Dropping Next Week

The wait for new music from Joey Bada$$ is apparently almost over. The April release of All American Bada$$ held fans over for awhile, but since then, his musical output has been minimal. Sensing he’s in a five-month drought, the Brooklyn MC took to Instagram on Thursday (September 7) to confirm he has fresh material coming next week.

“New tunes dropping next week! #LuckyMan,” he captioned the photo.

Whether “Lucky Man” is the name of a track or a body of work remains a mystery.

The fact he’s able to see the screen in the first place is an event in itself. Last month, he decided to test mother nature during the solar eclipse by looking at it without any protective eyewear. The Pro Era member tweeted about it prior to the rare event.

“Am I crazy for watching the eclipse today w no glasses?,” he wrote on Twitter. “I’ve sungazed before and afterwards saw colors for a whole day. I didn’t die tho…This ain’t the first solar eclipse and I’m pretty sure our ancestors ain’t have no fancy eyewear. Also pretty sure they ain’t all go blind.

The following day, he canceled his sets on Logic’s Everybody Tour in Cleveland, Chicago and Toronto.

Some of his most recent work includes three songs with Statik Selektah —“Too Lit,” “Love Is Only A Feeling” and “500 Benz” — that he dropped in July.

Check those out below and stay tuned for updates.

    1. I hope he gets back to his old sound. His latest songs were some Lupe-like “revolutonary but radio-friendly” stuff with a wack Fredro voice.

      1. Idk if i like 1999 joey or b4da$$ joey more. But both are better than the new joey. He not bad he just used to be so much better.

    2. Got love for Joey bad that latest album was pretty lame actually. Don’t get the hype around out it. 1999 was fat, Summer Knights fat, B4 da $$ also, but the latest was nothing like them, in a bad way, but people seemed to like it so no point for him returning to that underground sound. Money talks unfortunately.
