Jim Jones has revealed he’s trademarked his signature foot tap that he did while giving a winter weather storm update back in 2019.

In the iconic clip, which was delivered during a massive snowstorm that pummeled New York City in December of that year, Jones served as the Big Apple’s weatherman as he gave an update on the storm.

“Shit getting out of hand now,” the Dipset rapper said as he tapped his foot on the ground. “When n-ggas waking you up talking bout it’s a storm out here. Listen, I’m only here to give y’all the weather before I go back to sleep.

“It’s fucked up out here. Schools closed, probation’s closed and the coroner’s closed. I shouldn’t even have to say no more, n-gga. Stay your ass the fuck in house, n-gga.”

Jim Jones returned with another weather update this past week — foot tap included — as a deadly winter storm decimated the Empire State.

Now that the winter storm has subsided, the Lobby Boyz MC stopped by Shade45 for an interview with Superstar Jay, where he said he was forced to trademark the foot tap after he spotted it in a commercial.

“I trademarked the foot tap,” Jones said. “I saw one of these companies doing that shit in their commercials and I had to… let me holla at you and show you what this trademark look like.”

He continued: “Before they have to pay you that type of money, they do the right thing and acknowledge that you were outta pocket and things like that, and hopefully they turn around and do business with you for the same reason they was using whatever properties you owned.”

NYC’s latest winter storm didn’t stop Jim Jones from giving back this Christmas.

On December 24, Capo took to Instagram to share a video of him and Bobby Shmurda gifting members of their local community with toys and essentials such as nappies and toothbrushes.

They were also able to donate boxes of footwear with the help of New York sneaker chain GB’s, which Jim Jones shouted out in the caption of his video.

“Today we took a trip to the shelter to give back to those who are less fortunate and for those who need,” he wrote. “The one thing I can say about @gbny he always gives back to th community. As long as everyone does their part thts all we can ask for. Merry Christmas from us @princejdc @itsbobbyshmurda capo.”

Jones and Shmurda aren’t the only ones who have been doing their part this holiday season. NBA Youngboy,Fredo Bang and TG Kommas spread some holiday cheer on Christmas Eve by hosting a toy drive in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The “Unity in the Community” event saw the rappers donate over 1,000 toys, bikes, coats and athletic shoes. They also donated toys to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.
