Speaking with Hiphollywood.com, the Cleveland-native explained he quit smoking after going face to face with his habit. “I stopped smoking cigarettes; it’s been about ten months. I quit cold turkey. I had got bronchitis, and it was a really bad situation. I think it was the first time in my life where my temperature went to like 105. I was literally on my death bed.”

Realizing the possible consequences that could occur after that incident, Cudi continued, “I think it’s important for people to value their health, young or old, cause there’s gonna come a time where your system is gonna get weaker and weaker and weaker.”

Cudi stated he has plans to get involved with cancer awareness organizations in the near future.
