Lil Wayne‘s America’s Most Wanted Tour suffered another blow after the artist was forced to cancel two shows in Canada this week, according to the Vancouver Sun [click here]. Recently losing Drake to a knee injury, the tour’s cancelled shows at Vancouver’s GM Place may be indicative of problems within the Weezy camp.
Although rumors have surfaced alleging that Wayne was held up at the Canadian border, his camp explained, “Lil’ Wane, due to illness was advised by his doctors to cancel the Young Money Presents: America’s Most Wanted Musical Festival tour stops in Western Canada. The Tour, headlined by Lil’ Wayne featuring YoungJeezy, SouljaBoy, PleasureP, and Jeremih, was scheduled to come through Vancouver and Edmonton on August 17th and 18th. Wayne, his band, and his crew arrived in Canada with full intention of performing but were forced to cancel the dates due to doctor-mandated rest.”This will be the second time the rapper has cancelled shows in Canada. In June of 2008, Wayne cancelled a show in Toronto “due to unknown circumstances.”
The Vancouver tour stop was scheduled to be Wayne’s last in North America before taking a two-month hiatus, and then heading to Europe.
