Rapper Nas’ [click to read] unexpected no-show for a Torbay, Newfoundland concert Thursday night (May 28) ended with angered fans causing disorder at the St. Johns venue. The missed performance, in which he was supposed to share the stage alongside fellow rapper Kardinal Offishall [click to read], also led to people demanding refunds for their tickets.                                                                      

According to CBC News, attendees of the show began to grow restless between the rappers sets. As time passed though, audience members soon realized Nas was missing in action, which subsequently led to the general dismay. “The crowd [was] getting out of control,” CBC News reporter Zach Goudie stated. Continuing, he said, “By 10:30 [p.m.], Nas still hadn’t taken the stage, and it started to become obvious he wasn’t coming. There was a lot of beer can throwing…and very quickly the police were called in by security.” Several people were reportedly arrested by the nights end.                                                                                                                                            
It is still unknown as to why the Queensbridge rapper missed his performance.
