Ten years ago, No Limit Records seemed to be the first independent label to actually boast 20-plus acts, all releasing material. A decade later, artists like Mystikal, Mac, Kane & Abel have all made greater headlines for their incarcerations, while C-Murder‘s [click to read] very public trial and subsequent house arrest. As Master P and Romeo have both dabbled in sports and TV entertainment, one No Limit name Hip Hop fans have not heard from in a while is the third musical Miller brother, Silkk The Shocker.

A decade since he released his Top 200 chart-topping Made Man, Silkk, who’s been quiet for five years, is appearing on Brooklyn underground emcee Poison Pen‘s next album, The Money Shot. The appearance may seem to cross Hip Hop sub-genre lines, however, inside sources indicate that the unlikely duo is considering shooting a video for the album’s song.

Due in August, The Money Shot will be released on Gold Dust, home to DJ Muggs, Large Professor and Zion I, among others. The album will also feature M.O.P., Gillie Da Kid and Immortal Technique [click to read], who executive produced and presented Pen’s last album, Pick Your Poison [click to read].
