With six solo albums and one collaborative project under his belt, Bow Wow [click to read] has done a lot for a 22-year old. Reportedly putting his rap career on hold indefinitely, again [click to read], the So So Def artist will be known for his non-stop work and performances. However, there may be one person from Massachusetts that may not agree.

According to the Boston Phoenix [click here], Bow Wow had agreed to perform at the Chez Vous, a roller rink located in Dorchester. While the rink has been in business since 1932, owner Greer Toney has reportedly had difficulties keeping the building from closing down.

Bow Wow’s performance was to be the main event of Chez Vous’ second annual Peace Night, with “MTV’s Best Dance Crew” finalist Status Quo also present. Given an advance, Bow Wow had arrived, but because of safety concerns, did not perform. The whole event reportedly cost Toney about $10,000 to finance. However, because of Bow Wow’s failure to perform, she contends that she was forced to give everyone a refund. Tickets for the event were $35, and close to 500 people were in attendance.

Initially told by creditors that she would lose the roller rink because of several missed mortgage payments, Toney has since been granted extra time to make up sufficient funds. “I couldn’t believe it…I can’t believe that any superstar like Bow Wow would do this,”Toney said.
