After last year’s success, Okay Player and The Roots [click to read] will continue their annual Roots Picnic with another star-studded bill. This year, in addition to the jam session with The Roots, TV On The Radio, the newly-spelled Santigold, Kid Cudi and Asher Roth [click to read].

The highlight of the June 6th, afternoon-to-evening event may be however, Rap superstars Public Enemy performing their seminal It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back, backed by The Roots and The Antibalas.

The 1988 Public Enemy album is revered by many critics as the best album ever made in the Hip Hop genre. It has never been performed in its entirety, and not backed by a live band.
