Nu Jerzey Devil, Black Wall Street’s head producer, sets to step out of his creative box in 2009 by pursuing his own album as a recording artist.
On March 3 Jerzey, who has produced tracks for artists The Game, Fat Joe, Lil Scrappy, and Busta Rhymes, will be dropping his promotional mixtape, Art of the Devil, which includes his self-produced single “Different Girls” featuring Lil Wayne [click to listen]. With the March mixtape as a teaser, Jerzey will release an EP entitled Heaven or Hell in May, all leading up to his full length debut album Devil’s Playground in the fall.
“This is my first official project as a rapper, and I’m definitely capable of doing so much more,”Jerzey said of his debut. “I want the fans to know who I am as an artist. I just want people to know that Nu Jerzey Devil is definitely a well-rounded artist. You never know what to expect from me. I do music for the whole world, not just for one area or person. I don’t limit
myself at all.”

The mixtape includes outside production and numerous big name cameos. Jerzey explained that this decision was not taken lightly. “I was careful about collaborating with people who bring something to
my personal sound.”
Nu Jerzey Devil‘s Livelihood Entertainment will team up with SoBe Entertainment and Universal Music Group/Fontana to distribute the upcoming projects.
Jerzey is currently teamed up with The Game on his L.A.X. tour, opening shows around the country through March.
