Slick Rick is currently in the process of recording his new album and has promised some ‘strong’ tracks for his new set. The album has been titled tentatively “Ferocious” because, according to Slick Rick, he is “going to come ferocious” on this new album.
He has currently recorded half of the album and thus far hasn’t recorded any tracks with any big name producers. However, he has stated that he will bring in the big name producers for the second half of his album. Rick also promises that this album will be a stronger album than his last one and that it will have a lot more ‘substance’ too. Rick hopes to push the album for a late Summer release on DefJam Records.
Slick Rick has shown interest in flying over back to his native country, the UK, but currently cannot leave the country due to immigration problems that stem from his prison sentence back in the 90’s.
