Afu-Ra has finished the recording of his new album, “Life Force Radio” and describes it as being slightly different from his debut of 2000. Afu-Ra says that he has tried to explore new areas with this new album and hopes to deliver something for everybody on this new album, hence the title “Life Force Radio”. With the whole project being overseen by DJ Premier, we can expect to find some bangers on the new album with the likes of “Scatman”, “Stick Up” and “Caution”. Afu also gets personal on the new album with the Domingo produced “Open”, a track which features Teena Marie. The track describes all of Afu’s personal shortcomings and how these shortcomings have affected his relationship with his wife.
The album drops on May 21st on KOCH Records with the first single being a track called “Hiphop”, a track that Afu describes as being his ‘anthem’ on the album. The album will include appearances from Easy Mo Bee, DJ Premier, The RZA, Truemaster, M.O.P, Guru, Big Daddy Kane and Teena Marie. Check out the audio section for two exclusive cuts from the album.
