AZ, who used to be Nas’ alter ego has been through a lot of tough times, following his below par sophomore album ‘Pieces of a Man’ and rumors of beef among members of the collective The Firm. AZ is now getting ready to drop Nine Lives on May 22 via his Quiet Money Records label (released through Motown).Nine Lives includes the singles “Problems” and “Love Me ” while among the guests will be Joe, Amil, Beanie Sigel, Timbaland and Foxy Brown.
Regarding his beef with Nas, AZ said : “It ain’t never been no friction between us, Everybody’s gotta grow. When you’re going through the game, you learn from experience. I was going through my own world. Nas was moving, so he had to move with it.” The two even plan to record together. Well have to see if that actually happens.
