Ludacris [click to read] has had a busy holiday season giving out presents all over the country, but that did not stop the Grammy-winning rapper from spreading some extra unexpected cheer.

When the A.C.R.E.S. building, the American Civil Rights Educational Society, was broken into and severely damaged by a fire earlier this month, the foundation planned to cancel their annual holiday celebration. However, Ludacris along with his Ludacris Foundation came through and made sure the event would go on as planned.

The Ludacris Foundation, which began in 2001 focuses on economic development in the community specifically by reaching out to less fortunate children.

Ludacris not only funded the luncheon which was held on Ferro Street, but personally attended the children’s event to give out presents and smile to the less fortunate kids. Ludacris and his foundation went on a month long trip around the country this December and spent the remaining days throughout New York City.
