Fugee member, Wyclef Jean is expected to take his third solo album, “Masquerade” to the streets. The new album will include appearances from the likes of M.O.P, Freddie Foxxx and more for the new album. Clef says that he wanted to give the hip-hop fans something to listen too as his first two albums was contained a lot of R&B type tracks. Tracks like “80 Bars” and “The PJ’s” are all focused more on Clef’s hip hop side.
However, don’t expect the entire album to be strictly hip hop, Clef has called in City High’s Claudette to contribute in a “girl vs. guy” type track, while Clef also pours his heart out on a dedication track to his late father who passed away at the end of last year in an accident.
“Masquerade” may prove to be Clef’s best solo offering, check it out on Columbia Records on June 18th.
