Kanye West Explains Why He’s Jealous Of Jewish Culture

Kanye West has addressed his recent anti-Semitic statements in a new interview, this time, however, explaining how he is jealous of Jewish culture.

The description uploaded with his latest interview says Ye was invited to appear on Piers Morgan Uncensored specifically to discuss the inflammatory statements he’s made of late, including his assertion that George Floyd died of an overdose.

About halfway through the heated exchange, Kanye West said that he wanted to “hug every Jewish person,” and explained that he was jealous of several aspects he associates with Jewish culture.

“I’m envious of how they don’t abort their children,” he offered. “I’m envious of how they don’t shoot each other in the streets and then rap about it. I’m envious of how their families stay together. I’m envious that they turn their phones off on Friday nights and the family comes together. I’m envious of how they do business together. And I want that for the darker Jews, I want that for Black people. We need that.”

The statements echoed similar remarks made on his controversial second appearance on Drink Champs, which has since been deleted from REVOLT and all streaming platforms.

During his conversation with Piers Morgan, Kanye West also said he believes that he should be more conscious of the ways in which he expresses his opinions.

“I feel that my words demand more sensitivity for the frequency that I’m operating at and the amount of people that I’m communicating to,” Ye said. “And I take that responsibility right now.”

Still, he went on to say that if his opinions had been shared with more sensitivity, it would not have created space for the dialogue he’s been having of late. He added that these conversations have given him the opportunity to prove why “the left” should support him in a future political bid, while stating that he was not at liberty to say whether he’d be running for office.

The “Power” rapper did, however, implore people in the U.S. and the U.K. to support whomever each country’s respective next leader is, as he believes public criticism undermines any political leader. He also took credit for the disdain various celebrities openly showed former U.S. president Donald Trump.

“When I hear people like John Legend and Chrissy Tiegen talk down on the president, I’m like, ‘Wow, that kinda sounds like me. That kinda sounds like the telethon.’,” West said. “I opened up this level of disrespect towards our leaders. And the left saw that and said, ‘Well let’s just have every celebrity do what Ye did at the telethon. So I take responsibility for that moment.”
