Dame Dash Says He’s ‘Worried’ About Kanye West: ‘Let’s Have Some Compassion’

Dame Dash has admitted he’s worried about Kanye West‘s wellbeing following his recent outbursts.

During a recent trip to London, the Roc-A-Fella co-founder — who signed Ye to the label in 2002 — appeared on Kick Game‘s sneaker shopping series and was asked about his current thoughts on Kanye.

“He’s my brother,” he began. “[We don’t talk] constantly – when he needs me and when I’m worried about him. What you think? I’m worried about him. N-gga, can I ask you a question? Is he bipolar or not, did he tell you that? So if you checked off the boxes of bipolar, is he acting that? So then leave it at that.”

He continued: “Worry about his health if you care about him at all. I’m just saying, man, regardless to what he’s saying, it’s the way he’s saying it. I don’t care what he’s saying, I want him to live. Y’all worried about the wrong shit.

“If you know a man has a problem and you know he might be checking the boxes off for the symptoms of that problem, why do you judge him as if he doesn’t have a problem? It’s not logical.”

Dame Dash reiterated his support for Kanye West and called for people to show compassion to him during what appears to be another mental health episode.

“Why you put the camera on him instead of sending him a prescription or a doctor or some therapist?” he added. “Let’s have some compassion for a man that may be not so well at that moment. If he told you transparently that he has a problem, respect it.

“How do you show you’re concerned? You start talking about the ways to help. Instead of asking about what’s wrong with [him], give [him] the cure. We all know the problem.”

JAY-Z Isn’t A Better Roc-A-Fella Artist Than Kanye West, Says Dame Dash

Kanye West has come under heavy fire recently for wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt, making numerous anti-Semitic comments and his controversial Drink Champs interview, in which he suggested George Floyd was killed by fentanyl and not a cop kneeling on his neck.

    1. At some point you cant keep blaming mental health… yeah he has problems but Kanye is also fucked up morally.. he know he’s fanning flames by saying the type of shit he say and he dont care because he know it will keep his name in the news

    2. Ye has enemies. Powerful enemies that don’t look like him. Enemies that cannot stomach the fact that he was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He played their game at first but in the end he chose to flip the script. If you focus on the message and ignore the tone and delivery you will understand why they want him gone. These enemies want to control his ideas and his empire but they cannot so they want him gone. History is key. Study the history of powerful black men in America. Men of God who chose to defy the rules placed before them. It’s a pattern. Reputation. Bankruptcy. Incarceration. Death. How can you label a man crazy who has achieved so much in such a little time? 9 billion dollars? Self made wealth? But he had to sacrifice much to achieve it: His peace, his family, his friends, his life. He cannot even truly enjoy his wealth. You cannot enjoy your riches until they get their cut and he is not with the program. He said, “I pay all my bills on a Friday, one by one.” Listen to the man. Fuck theatrics. 90% of the time it’s the host and the platform (that’s why he went and bought his own shit).

    3. A person has to want the help you’re offering.and as long as he has yes men (and women) around him, telling him it’s ok to act the way he does, then that compassion shit is out the window. Dame is the same dude who a few months ago said Kanye wasn’t crazy. And if that kind of crazy made Kanye a billionaire, then he’d (Dame) want to be crazy like that too. Now Dame wants compassion for someone who’s been shitting on his friends, business associates, cultures, ex-wife, etc. Can’t have it both ways Dame.

    4. i’m with dame dash on this one i think people aren’t recognising he ain’t well. but then maybe he is just going with the flow. i saw that interview he did he didn’t sound or look like he was crazy he spoke calm and rationally. just leave him be he should know what he is doing.

    5. Now that they realise that Kanye got himself into some deep shhh and heaps up many opponents as he goes, they seek sympathy for him. You must be tripping.

    6. Kanye knows very well what he is doing and should anticipate the kind of backlash and consequences that he would cause.

    7. Compassion? Go get your homie and talk some sense to him Dame, let us know how that convo goes. We always making excuses for this guy for what????

    8. prove to thee world u the richest black man n have billions buy every vacant lot & used car in the CHI dont gotta give em away rent em at costs or under for cash flow be the CHIs biggest landowner thats what jes us would do dont just quote the good book ACT like it be the example show them u not following in the dev ils footsteps by hoarding ur wealth
